Esme was the lonely girl in her high school with hardly any friends. She was approached by a friendly girl that soon brought Esme out of her shell. They became good friends, and then Esme started realizing that she was slowly changing into somethi...
I'm so excited to have 36 reads! I'm so thankful for it, because I didn't think that I would get any! I'm going to try to do a chapter or two each day, I'm just not moving too fast so other people can catch up. Thanks!
Today is Saturday, and I'm doing absolutely nothing. I never do anything on Saturdays. because I have no friends to hang out with.
Well now I have New Girl, but I never thought about seeing her outside of school. I don't even know if she has a phone, I've never seen her with one.
My mom works on Saturdays and my brother is out with his friends, so it's just me. It gets very boring. I rolled out of the bed and walked downstairs to get some cereal. It's 9:13, so it's kinda sunny outside.
As I pulled out the bowl from the cabinet, I heard a door slam upstairs. My heart jumped. I slowly set the bowl down and tiptoed to the pantry, and then I heard another sound. It sounded like something breaking. What in the hell is going on?
I got inside the pantry and slowly closed the door. It's so dark in here, but I'd rather be in here than out there.
I inhaled and exhaled steadily, so I wouldn't make a noise. This house has to be haunted. There's no other logical explanation. That's when I heard the footsteps again. Coming down the stairs. Step. Step. Step. Step. Creak. Step. Step. They came down the stairs and into the kitchen. I inhaled and held my breath, and then put my hand over my mouth. Tears started to roll down my face.
I don't know who this...thing is and I don't know if I can escape it. The footsteps came closer to the pantry door and stopped in front of it. I backed up.
The door knob started to wiggle and my heart started beating faster. The door opened and creaked open slowly. The footsteps were gone. I didn't see anyone in front of the door. I just stared straight while the door was still creaking open. And then I saw something horrifying. A dark, slender creature walked into the pantry and closed the door.
Nothing but darkness again. I faced my back towards the door so and closed my eyes. I felt breathing in my ear and when I opened my eyes, I saw the creature in front of me. It put its hand on the wall, and black stuff started to spread everywhere.

I screamed and turned around to run out of the pantry. I closed the pantry door and ran to the front door. I gotta get outta here.
I tried to unlock the door but I couldn't. I looked around, and then I ran to the back door. Then all of the lights cut off. Darkness again.
I heard the pantry door open, and I slowly walked backwards to hide somewhere. When I turned back around, I saw another creature in front of me that looked like a skeleton. I fell and cried.

I hurried and got back up and tried to feel my way to the back door. I ran and unlocked the door, pulled it open, and ran outside.
I ran and ran until I couldn't anymore. I collapsed and started to cry. I don't know what's happening to me. I looked around to see where I was. And then I gasped.
I was in Melly Meadows.
I jumped to my feet and started to walk somewhere else, and then I heard a voice. I spun around.
"Hey Esme. What are you doing out here?" New Girl asked. I smiled. I was thrilled to see her.
I hugged her and told her that I was just taking a walk. She invited me over to her house , and boy was I glad. I didn't even want to look at my house.
When we got to her house, I stared at it for a while. It's so beautiful and big. It looks familiar, too.
On the inside, it was even better. She had nice decorations and it smelled wonderful. The stair case went all around the house. This had to be 3 floors. "Your home is beautiful," I told her. She smiled. We walked to her living room, and there was a huge black carpet with a black table and a bowl of that delicious candy on it. I sat on the furry black couch and grabbed some candy. It tasted so good, I had almost forgot about everything that had just happened.
I looked around for the T.V. There was none. "What do you do for entertainment around here?" I asked. She shrugged. "Work. Read. That's pretty much it."
I nodded. I don't do much either, so I can't judge. The couch was so comfortable, I didn't want to get off of it. She sat down next to me and looked at my feet. "Where are your shoes?" She asked. I paused. I forgot that I didn't have any on. Shoes was the last thing on my mind while I was trying to escape my home. "I don't like wearing shoes on the weekend," I lied. She laughed. "Okay then. Hey, I'll be right back, okay? I'm going upstairs to get my laptop." she told me. I nodded, and grabbed some more candy while she ran upstairs.
This house is so big for just one person. I know she gets bored. I stood up and walked around. Then I heard little footsteps behind me. I turned around, and saw nothing. "Not this house, too." I said. I walked around some more, and nearly had a heart-attack.
I saw a little boy, with a white dress on. "Hello." He said. I looked around. "Hi. Who are you?" I asked. He smiled. "Her bother." he said, and he ran off. Then New Girl came back down the stairs. I walked up to her. "I didn't know you had a little brother," I said. She smiled and nodded. She also gave me a pair of shoes. "Thanks," I told her.
"Hey, do you wanna go do something?" She asked. I nodded. I could finally do something on the weekend. I was excited. "Where?" I asked. She shrugged as she walked to the front door and opened it. I followed.
"I don't know. But we're gonna have some fun," she told me.
