Esme was the lonely girl in her high school with hardly any friends. She was approached by a friendly girl that soon brought Esme out of her shell. They became good friends, and then Esme started realizing that she was slowly changing into somethi...
I dropped everything and gasped. In the mirror, New Girl looked like...a demon.

I quickly turned around to look at her, but then she looked normal. I looked back at the mirror. Nothing.
I closed my eyes for a long time to think, and opened them again. This is weird, it's making me feel like I'm crazy.
Am I going crazy?
New Girl walked up next to me and rubbed my back. "Are you okay?" she asked. I deeply inhaled and looked at her.
"Yeah, I'm okay," I told her.
I think something really strange is going on here, but I'm not one hundred percent sure, so I can't take any action.
"Do you like your makeover?" New Girl asked me. I looked at myself in the mirror again. That was a good question. Do I like it? I look totally different.
I nodded. I do like it. I feel like a totally new person. I feel more...savage.
She smiled. "Good. Now lets go have some real fun." She grabbed my hand and started to walk out of the bathroom, and I wondered what she meant by "real fun".
By the time we got into the parking lot, it was dark outside. How long had we been in the mall?
"Um, what time is it?" I asked New Girl. She looked back at the mall. "7:59," she told me.
Wow, we were in the mall for a long time. Where are we going to go, at eight o'clock at night?
"Esme, we're going to go meet some of my friends," New Girl told me. I started to rub my arms. It's a little cold out here.
"Okay, cool. Where do they live?" I asked her.
"By the cemetery on Ligaol Street," she smiled.
I shrugged. I hope they're friendly.
We had been walking for a while when all of the street lights went off. It's pitch black out here, now.
"Whoa. New Girl? Where are you?" I looked around in the darkness.
No response. "I started to panic. I kept spinning around, in the blackness, as if I would be able to see anything.
"I'm here," I heard a whisper. It made me shiver. "Where?" I whined. I started to walk forward, very slowly. I'd hate to fall when it's pitch black.
Why is this street so empty? There's literally no cars driving on this street. I started to walk faster.
I don't know where New Girl is, and I don't know where I am, or where I'm going. But I'm scared, and I want to get out of here.
I heard screams. My heart started to race, and my feet stopped dead in their tracks. I can't move. I can't walk, or move my head. Tears started to come down my face. What is going on?!
I moved my eyeballs up and I saw a little girl standing in front of me. Where did she even come from? She stood there slowly and then I saw New Girl Slowly approach from behind her.
I would have said something but I couldn't.
All of a sudden, the little girl that was standing in front of me began to turn into a big, scary looking demon.
Tears started to rush out of my eyes. New Girl disappeared again.
I tried once more to move, and I couldn't. I tried to speak, but no words came out.
The demon that was once a girl started to crawl closer to me. I closed my eyes and silently prayed. I usually don't pray, but I figured it would be the best thing to do right about now.
When I opened my eyes, there was nothing but darkness again. The demon was gone.
Then my body shot forward in the darkness, as if I was being hit by a large truck. But this was painless.
My body was still shooting through the night when I started to see some houses and streets lights-that were on. When my body stopped, I was back in my neighborhood.
I started to walk and move my arms and my head, just to make sure that my body was working normally. I looked around, nervously.
That was another one of the weirdest things that has ever happened to me. The list just keeps getting longer.
I started to walk very fast down the street to my home. I hope someone is home.
When I got to my home, I saw my mother's car in the driveway. Thank God.
I knocked on the door and cautiously looked around until she came to the door.
She swung the door open and pulled me in, and then closed the door. She then looked me up and down, with a confusing look on her face.
"Where...have you been? You didn't tell me that you were going anywhere, where is your phone? What are you wearing?" She yelled. I stood there and took it all in. If I tell her anything that went on today, she would think I was drunk.
What can I tell her? "Mom, there was creepy ghosts in the house and I was scared so I left and ran into my friend from school and I went and got a makeover at the mall and saw more demons when I left"? Um, no. I'm not telling her that. It even sounds crazy when I think it, although that's what really happened.
"I just needed a new look, Mom. And I accidentally left my phone here. I'm sorry. Ground me if you want," I told her. She looked at me, still confused, I'm guessing.
"With what money did you get a makeover with? You look emo, like you're Gothic or something. I don't like it. This isn't you. So I'll tell you your punishment. No more leaving the house. Even when I'm gone. Only to go to school, that's it." She scolded me.
I shrugged. Weird shit seems to happen, whether I'm home or not. I'm not okay with it though. I'm not sure if I'll even survive, in this house alone. I don't ever want to be alone in this house ever again.
But if that's what my punishment is, I might have to. I went upstairs to my room, to search for my phone. At least I get to keep that.
I found my phone buzzing under my bed, and reached down to grab it. My Instagram notifications were blowing up my phone. Bunch of post notifications, blah blah. None of the notifications were actually for me, because I don't talk to anyone.
I sat down so I could really take the time to figure out what the hell happened today.
There's no logical explanation for it, so I decided to google it.
Blah Blah, bunch of crap about sleep paralysis. I can't relate.
I decided to shut off my phone, and just lay down to go to sleep.
I closed my eyes to try to sleep, but I couldn't.
So I opened my eyes.
And screamed when I saw a horrifying figure on my ceiling, looking at me.
