Shiroko's POV
{( Skill Set Unlocked )}
"Huh? What is this?" Had I unlocked a skill set? What is a skill set anyways? This life is so confusing.
I headed downstairs to get something comforting to cheer me up.
"Ahh" Hot Chocolate.
It smelled so good. I was needing something like this. The tasty, warm liquid filled my mouth and held me in a warm embrace before I swallowed it down to warm my stomach. I held the drink in my hands and it brought some warmth and feeling back into them.
The luscious, milky drink smelled so good. It filled my nostrils with the scent and I was absolutely entranced and it tempted me so much. It was a beautiful sight to see on a cold day. Freshly made, steaming and warm, there was nothing better than this, just the sound of its name brought me happiness.
"Hot chocolate's the best!" I unconsciously shouted out loud. "Oops. Did I say that out loud?" Mother nodded. Oh god. I forgot! The 2nd prince is still in my house! I turned to the direction he was in only to find him stifling a laugh. Hmph! I ran back to my room to hide my embarrassment. I really wished i could kick his butt with the awesome skills that I don't have. Ughhhhh. I'm gonna train extra hard so I can beat him and look down on him like he does to me!
I grabbed my phone off my nightstand. " Shiroko? What are you phoning me for?" The voice which had annoyed me so much earlier asked.
" Sarutawari-sensei. Do you think that..... You can help me get stronger faster?' There was no reply for quite a while. I could hear his breathing and occasional muttering.
"Sarutawari-sensei? Please answer! I want to become stronger!" There was still no answer. Just as I was about to hang up he answered.
"Shiroko... You have to be dedicated. You have to endure. You must have courage. You're strengths must be used for kindness. If you agree to these terms then I shall help you in any way I can"
"Yes! Thank you Sarutawari-sensei!" I gave him a hug through the phone. I turned off the phone happily not listening to his muttering. All I really heard was "Shiroko... I hope you do better tha-" Before I turned off the phone. Oops. Oh well. At least he agreed! YAYAYAYAYAAAA! I wonder why he made me agree to a promise? It probably doesn't matter.
~ Time Skip ~
"Momo? Why are you calling me right now?"
" Shiroko! Can we hang out right now? I'm very lonely and if you do not come I will be a curled up ball of depression."
"Ugh. I'll be there at 5:00 PM alright?"
"Thanks so much Shiroko! Dress well!" She cut me off and left. Dress well? What for? Oh well I guess I'll just do as she says.
~ Time skip ~
"Ah Shiroko! You came!" Mono gave me a big hug as I entered.
"Yeah I'm here. What did you call me here for?" I questioned her since she never gave me a answer when I asked over the phone.
"Well.... You see..... I'm transferring to thi-" WAIT WHAT?" I shouted at her. She had just thrown some news at me that I was unprepared for.
"As I was saying, I'm transferring to this new elementary school. Its the most prestigious and wealthy elementary school in the kingdom." Oh right. I forgot. Momo's family is rich. The only reason she goes to the public school is because she begged her parents.
"And I was wondering....." Momo didn't finish her sentence and just stared at me.
"What?"
"Iwaswonderingifyoucouldtransferwithme." It took me a moment to register what she said.
"Wait what? You want me to register to the best elementary school in this kingdom. Are you insane?!" I shouted at her once again. She laughed awkwardly and continued talking.
"Well, I know you don't have the money so I got my parents to agree to pay your fees. Please Shiroko! I don't wanna be lonely there." She gave me puppy dog eyes. I have a soft heart so I agreed.
"Yay! Thank you so much Shiroko! I love you!" She jumped on me once again.
"Don't be so friendly!" I pushed her off in a friendly way.
"Anyways, be here tomorrow. We'll be going to the capital since that's where the school is. She thanked me once again before asking if I wanted to join her and her family for dinner. I refused politely and headed back home.
"Oh god. What are mother and father gonna say?! Louis too! Argh!" I started to regret saying yes to her. Oh well. I guess they'll understand. Hopefully.
I headed home slowly with a heavy heart.
"Shiroko you've been quiet since you got back from Tachibana-san's. Are you alright?" Ah Louis. He noticed first. I guess mother and father will notice something's wrong soon too.
"It's nothing." I waved him off casually. Yes. Leaving you, mother and father for a few years is nothing. Especially since I'm leaving tomorrow. Its all fine.
Dinner was delicious as always but today, it tasted extra good. Probably because I won't be able to taste mother's cooking for a few years.
"Mother, father, Louis. I have something to confess." My hands began to shake softly. I thought this was gonna be easy.
"I'm leaving tomorrow with Momo to go to the capital where we will be schooled at the most prestigious elementary school." No one spoke. It was silent. What I said didn't seem to register in their minds.
"Wait what." Louis was the first to speak after a good 15 seconds of silence.
"YOU'RE LEAVING?!?!" Mother, father and Louis all shouted at the same time.
"Y-yes. I promised Momo that I will go to the capital with her and attend the most prestigious and wealthy elementary school in the kingdom."
There was a mix of emotions. They were so happy that I would be attending the best elementary school but they cried over the fact that they wouldn't see me for long periods of time. It eventually cleared up and they allowed me to go. Well, other than Louis they agreed. "After all, you can't go back on a promise." is what father told me. I packed my bags with the help of mother and went to get ready for bed.
Thank you mother, father and especially you Louis for helping me these past 8 years. Now, my life will take a turn.
HEYYOOOO ANOTHER UPDATE NOTHING ELSE.
