Chapter 1
"Zoey? Earth to Zoey here. Zoey!" Victoria yelled while waving her hand in front if my face.
"What?"
"Are you okay? You were just staring into open air."
"Sorry, it's just that," I paused," Can I tell you something?"
"Of course you can." Victoria said while touching my shoulder. I told her everything. About me getting caught and the guy I ran into, but before she can even react the bell rang. I went to the rest of my classes. When it was the end of school I walked home. I'm always the first one to get home. As I walked in my house, I walked up to the table in the front hallway. It was covered with pictures of my family.
"Hey." A voice said behind me. When I turned around I touched the table covered with my family's pictures. As soon as I touched it all of the pictures cracked. I turned and looked at the pictures in confusion. "So I was right about you." It was the boy I ran into earlier.
"Who are you and what do you want?" I said with my fist clenched. When he started to walk towards me our dead flower turned into a beautiful living one. I looked at the plant and him with a confused, yet amazed face.
"You need to come with me." he said with his hand out to me. I don't know why, but I took his hand and went out the door with him. We got into a car and started driving off. It was silent for a while, but when he said his name was Ryan I finally snapped and realized what was going on.
"Take me back home, please. I changed my mind, I don't want to go with you." I said desperately.
"It's to late to turn around. Besides, we're almost there." Ryan said with a smile. When we we're pulling up to the place I secretly texted Victoria and told her where I was. "Get out of the car." he said while grabbing my arm. I pulled my arm out of his grasp.
"You know you can be nice for once." We kept walking forward. When we finally got in a spot that I can see the building good, I realized it was the famous abandoned warehouse where the special and the government fought.
