Legend Girl: Freedom?

  As Nova washed the stairs, their oldest child, Nina, came to ask her something. "Why do you work for us?" Nina asked. "I'm your servant. I was captured to serve you. The reason why I work for you is because I'm different. Your father bought me against my own will. I do everything for you and your family. I wash the dishes, floor, your clothes, room, cook for you and endure your punishments." Nova replied. "Oh, so is that why we now have a new servent." Nina replied. "What do you mean?" Nova asked. "Daddy bought us another servant so you won't have to do ALL the work. He's bringing him tonight." Nina specified. "Oh. Ok?" Nova asked, unsure.

  "Daddy! Is this our new servant?" Nina asked him. "Yup. Come boy. NOVA!" He barked. "Right here Mr. Nakota." Nova stated as she was in front of him in an instant. "Show this boy around will you." Mr. Nakota commanded. "Yes sir." Nova obeyed. When he and the children left, Nova asked,  "How did you get caught Alber?" "Nala was annoying me with questions and I got a tangle of anger and annoyance. My ears and tail come out when I feel tangled emotions. That's how. Why don't you hide your ears and tail anymore Nova?" Alber asked. "Meh. Once everyone knows who you are, you don't have to hide them anymore." Nova shrugged. "Why are you so skinny?" Alber asked. "Lack of food. Luckily, Liam is the son of the father so, he sneaks me food. He'll do the same for you." Nova replied. "Where are we gonna sleep?" Alber asked. "Follow me. This is where the tour begins." Nova responded as she lead the way.

  "You'll want to avoid the youngest daughter, Ava. She'll pull your tail. Don't scratch any of them. Even though you may want to, you'll be punished by not having any food, but only water for a full week." Nova explained once she was finished with the tour. "NOVA! ALBER!" Mr. Nakota called. "Coming!" Nova called as she ran. Alber followed.

  Once they finished the task, Mr. Nakota sent them to bed. Alber started to doze off while Nova stayed awake. "Wake up Alber." Nova shook him. "Why? Everyone's asleep Nova." Alber yawned. "Do you want to be free or not?" Nova asked. "You don't have to ask me twice." Alber answered, wide awake. "Shhh. Be quiet and follow me." Nova instructed as she headed towards the room's door. She snuck to a window in the front room. She opened it quickly and quietly. "How do you know where to go?" Alber asked. "I've been trying to escape ever since I was sold. I don't want you to go through the same pain I've been through." Nova explained. Alder was shocked to hear that from Nova. "Come on!" Nova ushered since she was out the window. Albert followed her and Nova silently closed the window. They were free.
