Liam, Nova, and Nala all went to greet the new boy who moved in. Nova wore a hoodie that day so the boy wouldn't know who she really was, but it had holes in the top that let her ears go through. Crud. Nova thought when she put on the sweater.

"Hello. I'm Liam." Liam told the new comer. "I'm Nova, the outcast here because of my ears and tail." Nova explained. "I'm Nala, daughter of the chief here at MelaMela Village." Nala introduced. "Ok, hello. My name Alder, from the alder tree." He introduced.

"Come with us, we'll show you around the village." Liam suggested. "I can't go. I have to go back to work." Nova whimpered. "Why do you whimper instead of complaining?" Alder asked her. "My ears and tail. Duh. Why I'm the outcast here." Nova answered, pointing to her ears. "Oh, my ears and tail are hidden." Alder replied. "Your part wolf too?" Nala asked. "Yeah. I thought the last one was hunted ten years ago." Alder replied. "Best to keep yourself hidden so you won't have to endure such a cruddy job." Nova growled at the last part. "You better go now so my dad won't go looking for you Nova." Liam suggested. "Yeah. Bye everyone." She called as she walked away.

"Nova! No daydreaming on the job!" The dad shouted at her. "Ok Mr. Nakota. Sorry." Nova apologized. "Don't let it happen again Nova. I bought to work. Not dream." Mr. Nakota reminded her. "You bought me against my own will and so you can take your anger out on me." Nova complained. "Talk to me like that and it's the basement for you for the rest of the month." Mr. Nakota threatened. Nova kept her mouth shut after that. True she's been daydreaming a lot recently. If only I can find love. That is the only thing I yearn for now. Nova thought as she finished cleaning up the mess that their youngest daughter made. Speaking of which, she came and pulled her tail as she usually does when she cleans up. She whimpered. Why won't these children understand what she goes through?
