__________

Your feet felt like lead as you lugged yourself into the dormitory, loitering the halls with every turn and stretch of the seemingly unending corridor, forgetting where your room was and having to go a floor up to reach it. Despair exuded through your pores, shoulders slacked and back slouched, there was no one to impress nor challenge in the hallways of the building, there wasn't even someone you cared to show decency towards. Pushing your key into the lock and wiggling the door open, disposing yourself flat against the sheets of your bed to rest for a moment.

Melting to mold into the mattress, not an ounce of power in you to remove yourself from the bed, get rid of your bag and get to work on what you said you would have been doing by now. Though the idea of being well rested on Monday night was tempting, the option of just passing out against your covers in the clothes you were currently wearing was something more that your mind yearned for. Suddenly bolting your eyes tight shut with the scrunch of your nose from awareness of how you had accidentally administered to leave Hoseok's house with Dawon's jeans and his own shirt. There was no way you were going to go back and give it to him after what had occurred in your last few minutes in their household. But there was no way you were going to let the article sit in your room as a painful reminder of the man that you so foolishly let into your life. Hastily stripping yourself from the clothing and noting to toss those into the washer, putting on a toasty and a loose fitting sweater with shorts to free yourself from any sort of item that had connection to the weekend. You would get over it.

You hadn't worn many casual outfits in years, running errands and practically anything in your school uniforms since any other clothes would take up more space in the washing machine, in which uniforms were more essential compared to. And you abided by the rule that using any clothes other than school clothing would be useless since either way you were covered appropriately, but still get the important cottons washed. Until that is, you had first met Hoseok outside on the tree by your window.

You sighed as you stared blankly at the screen of your laptop, leaning back in your chair as your fingers near absentmindedly wiggled across the keyboard. Barely a paragraph written, you would have had more if you hadn't attended Dawon's sleepover. Resting your head in the palms of your hands as you enclosed yourself in darkness to think a little better, running the topic through your head and typing down a few points to cover before deleting it all to realize how irrelevant they were to the main idea of the essay. Biting your lip as you mulled over the assignment, reading what you had multiple times, trying to spark a light bulb. But three taps against your window made your head flick around to take a glance between the parted curtains.

__________

His relentless knocking against your window had been echoing into your dorm room more urgently, and you quickly shuffled across the floor to allow him entrance, scolding him for meeting with you so late at night as he dusted himself off with a chuckle. You never expected he would have taken something like this seriously, since you definitely were not. He had barged into your room immediately after school hours—by again, using the window—to suggest for the two of you to meet later in the day to wander for a stroll, late at night. You didn't have any objections, though you were quite sure that Dawon had asked him to spend time with you after hearing your story of how he scolded you yesterday for being exceedingly late to meet outside with him, then had shyly asked you right after to join him for the school's dance. Which was strategically held a generous amount of weeks before your final exams and graduation. And with the thought that you would be able to have some fun, fit in a decent time of studying for each course, and with your sudden interest in you best friend's brother, you had accepted.
