__________

Dawon's snores were ones you couldn't quite ignore. Loud and lengthy inhales tumbled through both the entrance of her nose and her lips before she loudly sighed out the breath. A talent of hers was sleeping through movies, whether they were comedy or action, even the suspenseful tear-jerker you had regretted to have chosen now with tears staining your face. Presently flushed in the dark with embarrassment and wanting anything but for anyone to turn on the lights to see you in such a state.

With the whole room now heavy as the credits of the movie rolled, you tried your best not to breathe so loudly as your heart began to pump like a drum. Countless of saddening memories recollected, cursing your mind that always searched for such thoughts only to make you increasingly more upset until it decided it was enough torture.

Footsteps thudded onto the floor as the couch shifted at the weight removed from its cushions. The lights intruded your wallowing, suddenly piercing through the room, you found that Hoseok had been the one to invite the light to disrupt the weighted atmosphere.

"You good?" he asked you as if he had concern. Coming to sit beside you as you squirmed in your seat, hastily rubbing off any remnants of emotion.

"Yeah."

You turned to face away from him, dashing to escape into the kitchen until he formed an idea to come any closer. It's just a movie, why are you crying? you furrowed your eyebrows, grabbing a glass to fill with water. Clearing your mind with several gulps, you sighed before returning to the living room.

"Your makeup is running a little," he giggled at her, squatting to meet her eye level as she sat on the floor. "Oh gosh it is." she chuckled, struggling to swipe away the running product.

"Stay still," he instructed, yanking a tissue from the box as he gingerly held her chin with a finger, careful to brush away the staining black beneath her eyes.

Leave, go upstairs, just leave, you told yourself, passing by them hurriedly to rush up the stairs. Bounding towards the bathroom to shut the door and click it locked, taking a deep breath and closing your eyes for a moment of rest. Why should you care? He isn't yours, your eyes parted open, and you turned to take a look in the mirror. Chest heaving with adrenaline, face burning with embarrassment of your foolishness. You couldn't quite understand why you were acting so childishly.

You speedily grabbed the handle of the sink, water now gushing out of the tap, splashing what practically felt like ice onto your face to make you feel a little more fresh. Droplets flying towards the mirror to stick, you took one more glance at the glass before drying off your face and heading back downstairs. Dawon now awake and bickering with her younger brother, arguing as they cleaned up the space of the living room.

"Get ready for bed, it's late," Hoseok was the first one to spot you trudging down the stairs, instructing you to do such with that tired look on your face, seemingly yearning for rest. "We'll all be upstairs and sleeping soon."

"Yeah, I'll just get water," you continued your journey downstairs, slightly irritated by that look Hyesu gave you everytime you had any sorts of interactions with the boy. She must be the one Dawon was talking about, you mused to yourself, smirking a little.
