Tae's POV
"Alright alright. Let's go," I push her into the bathrooms and me and Ziggy wait outside by the door. "You wanna go on the ferris wheel with us Ziggy?"
"Fuck no man. I'm scared of heights." He says, and I laugh. "I don't see what's so funny," he grumbles, looking embarrassed.
"Awe, it's alright dude. I'm scared of heights to--" A high pitched scream comes from the bathroom and I turn around. "Well that was weird. Maybe some one's gettin' it on it there." I joke and Ziggy laughs. His deep chuckle is cut short by another scream. I had a bad feeling now and I turn around and stare at the door.
"Tae!" I hear Kinzie.
Without hesitating I push the door open and run inside. "Baby!? Kinzie!" I was knocking on every stall door while girls standing at mirrors were yelling at me. "Kinzie! Where are you baby? You gotta tell me where you are!" I shout.
"Tae," she cries.
I stop and go back one stall, knocking furiously. "Baby? Baby what's wrong? Please open the door Kinzie. Open up." I was scared shit less.
"No Tae. J--just, call an ambulance. P--please go call an ambulance." She whimpered.
I scrunch my eyebrows. I knock harder. "What? No baby. Open the door. I'm not leaving you. Just open the door." I wait for a second and the door clicks. I grab the door and pull it open, and when I see what's wrong, I really wish I hadn't.
"Tae," She whimpers, looking up. "I'm s--scared. Is this supposed to h--happen?"
I was stunned. Shocked. I couldn't stop staring, I was speechless. There was so much blood, the entire tile floor and toilet were painted red. I couldn't look away or respond to her.
"Tae!" she shrieks. She was scared, I could tell. Hell I was too. Why in the fuck was she bleeding? But I needed to help her, get her to a hospital.
"Baby, b--baby. Um..we need..hospital.." I stutter. I couldn't speak.
"Tae," she whispers, looking into my eyes. She had tears flowing down her face, crying. "I t--think the baby--"
"No. The baby is fine. It's going to be fine. You're going to be okay." I pull her sweats up for her and walk her out of the stall. I find my phone and dial 911, walking out of the bathrooms with her groaning. "Ziggy. Grab her."
Ziggy rushes to hold her up, but she screams in pain at his touch and he lifts her into his arms instead. She grips onto Ziggy's arms and chest. Everyone turns their attention to us and we begin walking out of the fair.
"911. What's your emergency?"
"Um, my wife, she's bleeding everywhere. I don't know what's going on. She just started randomly bleeding. You have to help me. I'm scared. She got hurt when she went to the bathroom. We need an ambulance." I rush out, chasing after Ziggy.
"Sir, please calm down." This man was testing me.
"Calm down!? Are you kidding! My wife is bleeding her insides out and my baby might be in danger and you're telling me to calm down?!" I shout.
"Sir, yelling does not help the situation. What is your name?"
"Lee." I say, giving up on him. He pissed me off and i'm about to flip a bitch if an ambulance isn't here in 5 minutes.
"Last name please sir," he says.
"Taemin. You can just call me Taemin. "
"Okay. And how old are you Taemin?" he asks.
"I'm 20," I respond, wondering why the fuck he was asking these irrelevant, stupid ass questions that had nothing to do with Kinzie.
"Alright Taemin. I've got your information pulled up here. Now did you say you're wife was pregnant?"
"Yes!" I yell. Ziggy stops at the entrance to the fair and I pace back and forth, in front of him and Kinzie.
"Please do not yell. Where are you and your wife?"
“We're at the damn fair downtown. It's on like 56th Street or something at Tracy Fields." I say.
"Alright. Let me find the address."
"Okay." Sighing, I move towards Kinzie. I grab her hand and she squeezes, crushing my fingers. "Ow baby."
"Tae. It hurts, so bad. It hurts." She sobs. I felt sorry for her.
"I know honey. I know. They're coming for you, right now. You're going to be fine. I promise," I knew it wasn't a promise I could keep but I had to keep her fighting.
"Okay Taemin." I walk away to hear him better over Kinzie's screams. "Services are on their way. Is she still bleeding?"
"Is she still bleeding?" I ask, pulling the phone away and looking at Ziggy.
"Yep. All over my shirt," he says. I scrunch up my face, pushing the phone back to my ear.
"Yes. She's still bleeding," I answer. I look over at her crying face. "Really badly." I add.
"Okay. The ambulance should be there in 5 minutes."
"Alright. Thank you." I hang up the phone and put it in my pocket, moving to comfort Kinzie again. I grab her hand and I should've known she was going to grind my bones. Her breathing was erratic and I was now crying with her. "Hey baby. You're okay alright? You're just in labor. The good men are coming to get you right now to take you to the hospital and we're gonna have a beautiful healthy baby."
"It's like three and a half weeks early Tae!" She screeches.
"I know I know I know. But some babies are born early. It's okay to be born early. I was born early too. The baby will be fine." I assure her, but I was trying more to convince myself. My hands were covered in blood and I don't think you bleed when you go into labor right? No. You just leak a little water I think. I hear the sirens in the distance and I smile slightly at her.
"We're gonna have a healthy baby," she whispers.
"We are," I kiss a part of her hand that isn't covered in blood. She closes her eyes with a smile and mine widen. "Baby! Baby no. Keep your eyes open. Baby wake up! Wake up!" I shake her. She was still breathing but I was worried like no other bitch.
"They're here," Ziggy says.
"Thank God," I turn around and look for the flashing lights. I start waving my hands in the air at the truck frantically. They drive straight for us and before I know it, it stops and guys hop out, rushing up with a stretcher. It all happened so fast, her limp body's being strapped onto the stretcher with oxygen over her mouth, and she's being wheeled away from me.
"Are you coming?" One of the paramedics asks.
"Uh, yeah. Ziggy take the car and follow us," I throw him the keys and climb into the back of the ambulance.
The doors shut and i'm stuck in the corner while men rush around, barking orders at each other, and covering my BabyGirl with towels. They were swiping the white towels on her to clean her up once and bringing back up a drooping bright red cloth. It made me sick to my stomach. Suddenly, she opens her eyes and looks around confused. She tries to sit up but men hurry to hold her arms and shoulders to the bed.
"Tae!" She screams. The heart monitor by her side starts beeping like crazy. I move to where she can see me, grabbing one of her hands.
"I'm right here baby. I'm here." I say, kissing her knuckles that the paramedics had just cleaned off. She relaxes but still watching the men tentatively. "I'm here baby. I'm always here."
