Chapter 2: Traumatized.

Steve and Dustin made it to Max's, they got out of the car and walked towards the door where stood Max, under the sun, with her long bright hair, along with Lucas and Mike.. Steve was behind Dustin, walking slowly, not really wanting to be there at all, he expected to see Nancy, but here he was, about to meet Billy... The kids' faces were not very cheerful, they were kind of annoyed and troubled. Max approached to Steve and thanked him for coming, Steve looked confused and replied : "um.. Thanks?... So.. Why am I here?"
Max shouting at Dustin : "You didn't tell him?"
Dustin to Steve : "Man were you deaf or what! I told you Billy wants to talk to you!"
Max : "Yeah but you told him why, didn't you?"
Dustin : "He'd never have accepted to come if I did!... Probably.."
Max grunting , returning to Steve : "It's my brother, he wants to talk to you"
Lucas : "He's almost gone mad, he wants to hear the truth from you, Harrington"
Steve looks annoyed : "Alright did any of you shitheads tell him anything that he's not supposed to know?" Whishpers : "We all could go to jail for Christ's sake! You kids can't keep your mouths shut or what!"
Mike cuts him off : "woah hold on! We didn't tell him anything, alright? We didn't tell anyone anything. He didn't hear a thing from us..." Speaks in a lower tone : "but he saw"..
Steve : "okay? Saw what"
All of the 4 kids at once : "the fridge!"
"I don't get it!" Replied Steve
Dustin : "jeez! Are you actually that slow?"... "Remember when you and I put a demodog into Mrs Buyers's fridge..?"...
Max's house's front door got opened, there stood Billy with a pale face, holding a beer, and replied : "I opened the fridge, Harrington... I have seen it.. I saw it.." Max stood on top of her toes and whispered to Steve : "He's not as strong as you think he is, go easy on him okay?"
Billy invited Steve inside where they can talk, the kids followed.. The living room was kind of messy, there was a pillow on the sofa and a blanket, Billy should have been sleeping there for some reason, he looked frightened, the coffee table in front of him was covered with empty beer cans and used cigarettes.. Steve finally suspected that the Demogorgon is what's frightening Billy, so he jumped to conclusions and said : "Man you saw it a week ago, so why now?.. Listen it's all over now okay? You shouldn't think about it at all, sometimes it's better not to know things.."
Mike : "He can't just ignore it, and he doesn't wanna listen to us cuz he thinks we're just a bunch of kids and we don't know what the hell's going on" while looking at Billy.
Max : "he NEEDS to hear it from you.. 'Not as you think he is' remember? ... He doesn't sleep at night.."
Billy trying to stop her from talking : "Max!.."
Max continued : "He's scared of his own closet.."
Billy shouted : "MAX!"
Dustin let out a little laugh when Max, Mike and Lucas eyed him..
Steve "okay, tell me everything and I'll answer all of your questions"
Billy wrapped the blanket on the sofa around his shoulders and started telling Steve what's wrong, he opened up to the guy who he was always bullying, he felt that he could trust him, he felt that he was weak and that Steve was stronger, for some reason, maybe because he knew more than him..
