Colby has a right to be confused. I'm about to tell him something which will change his life forever. I know he will not like what I'm about to tell him but forces like this cannot be messed with, they're fate, they're destiny.
Even myself, didn't want to believe it but unfortunately my destiny was as fake as my previous love which I will explain to Colby within time. Which in my case was the most rarest unfortunate event where I got dragged down with them by a manipulation of their power but I assure you all, the pull between me and Colby is real, fate and destiny.
"I'm..... I'm a vampire...!" I whispered to Colby.
Colby moves back, looks at me confused and says sarcastically "oh right very funny welcome to the mega prank wars hahahahha"
"No colby. It's the truth." I replied.
"How? What? No? You're normal, you eat food, you don't even drink blood what...?!" Said Colby in a high pitched tone.
"I can explain everything, even show you if needs be please Colby don't..." I said as Colby stands up and steps out the hot tub and walks towards the back door.
Colby turns round and points at me "no you are crazy" he said.
I begin to cry... "PLEASE COLBY!" I screamed.
Colby stood with his hand on the door handle, turning round, slowly.
I cross my legs and begin to float upwards out of the water...
Colbys sees me and his head suddenly turns with his body, his hand releasing from the handle in shock at what he is witnessing.
"Do you feel it Colby? Our love is undeniable" I said as I begin to float back into the water.
I step out the water and walk towards Colby, Colby steps back, hitting the back door glass looking frightened.
"Please Colby don't be afraid of me, I'd never hurt you!" I said softly.
Colby starts to shiver. I stretch out my arm, lift the towel, resting on the gate behind me, using my powers and place it around Colby without even touching it!
Colby, still looking frightened turns round and walks into the mansion.
I follow him in as he walks up the stairs to his room "I need a minute" shouts Colby.
Using my powers I bring the second towel towards me, go sit on the sofa in the cave and dry off. I hurl into a ball on the end of the sofa and cry.
It's been an hour. I can still feel him so I know he's still up there. He feels different to earlier, I feel acceptance and our love in high strength.
I hear steps coming down the stairs, it's Colby.
I sit up, Colby walks towards me. He stops right in front of where I'm sitting.
"Do you want to eat me?" Asked Colby.
I couldn't help but laugh, "of course not!"
Colby sits down on the other end of the sofa and sits up to face me.
"Explain" said Colby.
"Where do you want me to start?" I Asked.
"The beginning." Said colby.
I take a deep breath as he looks intensely into my eyes.
I explain my story, "I used to be human, like you. I was just a girl who went to school, had fun and went out with my friends. Until one day a new guy came to my school. I felt this awful, but deep pain of attraction towards him. It was as if I loved him but it felt wrong and painful. Second day of attending he asked me out, we were dating for around 7 months when he told me he was a vampire. I didn't react like you, because it didn't feel right so I tried to run. Vampires are fast so I only got 3 seconds to the top of the stairs before he pushed me down. I can still to this day feel and see my life flashing before my eyes as I was falling.
I felt my head hit the edge of the bottom step, my skull cracked. I felt blood dripping out my ears and nose. He jumped down and peered over me as I lay dying. He laughed into my face, licked the blood from my ear and his eyes changed to pitch black. His fangs enlarged then he sunk them into my neck.
I remember feeling as if my life and soul was being sucked out of my body... fast. The pain was unlike anything I'd ever felt which carried on for a long time, I assumed I was dying.
Next thing I knew I was waking up on his bed, in his room. I saw him sitting on the edge of the bed. He looked at me and laughed. I felt different, I felt dead inside. I quickly put my hand on my neck and felt nothing but skin, no wound or marks. He continues to laugh at me while I start screaming "WHAT HAVE YOU DONE TO ME?!" I felt this surreal amount of anger filling me up, I suddenly leapt from the floor and began to hit him. He is still laughing at me screaming "yes yes".
He pushed me off and I flew backwards, smashing up a bookcase. I stood up and looked at the bookcase in pieces in the floor, I felt nothing. I was so frightened I had no idea what was going on so I ran away. I tried to go home but I could hear my parents all the way from the end of the back garden because my hearing had become like super. I heard my mother scream "that little slut stopping out better not come home or I'll kill her myself"
Yes my parents weren't nice people. I stood below my bedroom window out of sight of my parents, this was the first time I willingly chose to use my new powers. I jumped from the garden to my bedroom window, I opened it and snuck in. I packed a small bag, and jumped back out the window and ran into the woods.
I stayed in the woods for about 5 days, trying to understand my new self. I didn't even sleep. I didn't need to. I taught myself how to use some of my known powers because I wanted to confront that asshole that did this to me.
On the end of the 5th day I made my way over to his house. I get to the porch and two people appear on the doorstep. The man, who was the assholes vampire dad (not real human parents) told me to stop and calm down because he knows what he's done. "You're safe" he said.
He invited me inside, I cautiously entered.
We stood in the living room for a whole week, day and night, we didn't sleep while he explained everything about vampires and that the asshole was now in custody. He told me that he has a very rare power that only surfaces once every 5000 years where he can manipulate other humans brains to think they feel in love with him. That's why I thought I felt like I loved him but it was painful because it wasn't real. Even vampires have a law of free will." I explained.
"Where do I come in then?" Asked Colby. "How old are you then? When was this?"
"I died at 18.....then reborn since 1984" I answered.
"WOAH so that makes you like what?! 50...?" Said Colby.
"Yeah, 51 years since I was reborn.." I said.
"Wow okay so um what do you mean by my destiny?" Asked Colby.
"All vampires have one true human love. It's a deep, un breakable love. The only break is if the human dies and doesn't become a vampire and even then it leaves the vampire inconsolable for 1000s of years. The assholes vampire dad said it's an imprint in all vampires to keep the vampires going so they don't go extinct. The love is like an addiction, it's one of those you know when you feel it type things. The human feels it too but they just think they're in love as a human when they too feel what we feel. If a human does feel this towards a vampire even if they don't know they're a vampire, like us then there destiny it to become...one....of...us..."
"So I have to be one?" Questioned Colby.
"Yes but by your own choice!" I exclaimed.
"My own choice? How is this a choice?" Asked Colby.
"Because we don't force, one of our laws is free will. Even though no one can fight the imprint, not even vampires you still have a choice, if and when you become one of us. Human life is sacred, you could die any second which is why we encourage you to be very careful during your human life while making the decision because if the human dies they pretty much kill their vampire love from a broken heart, and yes it's a real thing. I've met a vampire with a broken heart, she's depressed and weak. She's hospitalised..."
"Wow this is crazy" said Colby shaking his head.
After talking to 2am, colby stood up and stretched, I think I need to go to bed and sleep on this. "Colby....?" I said.
"Do you feel it?" I asked.
Colby turned round and took my hand, looked into my eyes and said "I feel it!"
Colby pulled me up and walked upstairs to Colbys bedroom.
"Oh I forgot you don't sleep do you..." said Colby.
"Oh I can...it's just not a natural sleep like for you. It's like I never fully sleep but I can put myself to sleep and wake up when I choose." I said.
"Okay umm so do you want to sleep now..?" Asked Colby.
"Sure, I love this part of the night, I get to watch you have the pleasure of breathing, it's beautiful..." I said.
Colby and I got into his bed and cuddled. I waited for Colby to fall asleep then put myself to sleep.
