KENDALL HARRIS was arrested by ASIS agents shortly after they arrived. He faced charges for cannibalism, assistance in forty-one kidnappings and assistance in murdering forty-one individuals. Authorities found bones at the campsite, extracted their DNA and matched it to these forty-one individuals. Unfortunately, it will never be known how many people he kidnapped and murdered, although the number is estimated to be around the hundreds. He now serves a life sentence in a prison in South Australia. His wife, MELLIE BRANDON, was arrested and faced charges for assisting Kendall Harris in his crimes. She is now serving ten years in a jail in South Australia.
RILEY and AILEEN HARRIS were arrested but released for being minors. They transferred schools after moving to live with their aunt in Whyalla. Both kids are bullied for being related to their parents. Riley has fallen into a deep depression and is seeing a therapist. Aileen ignores her bullies. She was mad at Logan for hurting her brother, but, believing that he died in the plane crash, she became depressed and is seeing a therapist.
The TWO THIEVES were never found despite the police's efforts to track them down using their lost knife. It is believed they were part of Riley's group of "friends."
GEORGE KUMAR and OLIVIA BIKE were released from their cage by the ASIS agents and now suffer from Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) but they are safe in Port Augusta. A small group of police forces guarded them for two months after they were kidnapped to be sure no one attempted to kidnap them again.
After ASIS agents arrived at the cannibalism camp, Kendall Harris' CANDLES disintegrated and lost all its followers. All Candles on site were arrested. They face charges of cannibalism (money transfers from the accounts to Kendall Harris' were used as proof of them being involved in the cannibalism). Because the sect gained its followers through word-to-mouth, there is no official site and authorities were not able to track down all of Harris' followers. The ones who had their names on the cassette tapes were not tracked down because they had never been on treks before and therefore had never committed cannibalism.
BOB RIGHT now serves the same sentence as Kendall Harris in the same prison.
MIKE FRANK was arrested and rushed to the hospital. He recovered well from his broken arm. He now faces thirty four years in prison for assistance in an uncountable number of kidnappings and given threats at gunpoint.
When authorities reached the wrecked plane, they were able to find the bodies of the BENJAMIN BREAK, a pilot from William Creek, and FRANK EBERHARDT. They died on impact, however CARL THOMPSON did not and he managed to swim towards shore. Miraculously, he only suffered from a broken arm and leg. He was caught by authorities in Whyalla and sentence to life in prison for an uncountable number of kidnappings, including those of George Kumar and Olivia Bike, and giving threats at gunpoint. He has tried to commit suicide in prison but has failed.
JANE GAUTHIER did not suffer from a heart attack but she was relieved to find that neither agent had died. She was mad to learn her two agents had bet on how fast they could make friends but was relieved it hadn't affected their ability to make the mission move forward.
If it had not been for all the trauma AVA WALKER and LOGAN BLOOM went through, they would've been severely punished for obeying orders too late. Logan Bloom suffered from a bullet wound in the right shoulder and was transferred to a private clinic in Toronto shortly after his parachute jump. He is recovering well from the injury. Although missions are not supposed to be discussed on campus, news of the parachute jump still got out and impressed the whole JAYES campus. Ava Walker and Logan Bloom are considered heroes for their amazing feat. They even impressed the campus director.
Ava Walker told the campus therapist that she 'didn't feel bad at all for breaking Mike's arm. He totally deserved it.' However, Logan felt bad when he learned that Aileen and the rest of the world believed that everyone besides Carl had died in the plane crash. However, if people had known they were alive, they would have appeared in the media.
Since the two still had feelings for each other, they have gotten together and now have a strong relationship.
