Hey! I'm almost done with the next chapter but have a little writers block so o thought I'd write something else. To get my writing juices going.

So here's a little nothing side chapter.

——————

Uther was walking around the castle when he heard Morgana's laugh. He turned his head to see that in the court yard, in the garden, Morgana was on a a walk with Gwen, Merlin, and Arthur.

"Oh who am I?" Merlin aske smiling as she grabbed Arthur's crown and placed it on her own head.

She cleared her throat and started speaking in a low voice. "I'm the prince of Camelot! And I can make anyone do whatever I want. Eel in do this! Merlin so that! Oh what's that? You have to help Gaius save a dying person in the lower town? You promised Morgana to help her with the orphanage? Well cancel your plans because my need of an apple is more important."

The rest of the group was laughing hysterically, Uther even let out a chuckle.

Merlin then grabbed Arthur's sword. "And I am the best sword fighter in all the land!" She swung the sword around crazily. "And anyone who tells me otherwise will be brought to my father, the KING of Camelot! And will be hanged. Because I am a spoiled Prat who gets everything handed to me on a silver platter!"

She finished and handed Arthur his sword back.

"I sound nothing like that!" Arthur defended himself but was only met with laughs. "Well how do you like this."

Arthur put his hands around her neck and untied her neckerchief, and tied it around his own neck.

He made his voice high and feminine. "I'm Merlin! And I think that I'm am the smartest person in the room! And I can do anything I want because I think that I'm the princes best friend! And I'm going to do crazy, illegal things but do them secretly to save the day! Because I'm a hero! But all I really am is an idiotic, clumsy, untalented, little girl!"

Merlin and the other girls laughed. Though even Uther has to admit, Merlin was funnier.

Uther looked back to his son to see that he wasn't laughing. But staring at Merlin, who was laughing and still wearing his crown.

And Uther knew exactly what he was thinking. He had that same face when he imagined Igraine as his queen. His wife.

Oh boy. Arthur really does love her doesn't he. Uther thought to himself.

He continued to walk down the corridor, pretending he saw nothing. Because, for now at least, he would let his son fantasize.
