The next day I waited for him to head back to his apartment, impatient for him to see the surprise I left him.
I did, after all, put all my heart into preparing it.
And as if he knew, he appeared in the hallway, walking to his apartment door. His lips which were smiling of pure happiness seconds ago, turned to scared trembling lips.

"Right!" He laughed, taking the note and ripping it into four pieces. Leaving the pieces to rest on the floor. Then as i nothing, he walked inside.
"You're just a pure idiot, now are you?" I laughed lowly, biting my bottom lip to hold my excitement.

He was headed to work, and as expected, his car keys were hanging from his index finger, swinging them around it. I could see the smile on his face, so sure that nothing was to happen.
He walked in,
Started the engine,
Then a sigh of relief escaped his lips.
I passed a hand through my hair, as I watched him leave... him looking almost too happy that nothing had happened.
A content feeling invaded my body.
"Did you really think?" I laughed.
"That I would only make you and your car blow up?"
I shook my head, resting both of my hands in my pockets. The cold november air hitting my red cheeks.
"You have no idea, now don't you?... idiot."
