My hands shook as I had the limp body in my arms.
I gently brought her back to the dark room, making sure a blanket was wrapped around her to keep her warm.
Even if she was getting punished, she had to be comfortable.
She was my little baby girl after all.
And one day she'll notice what I'm doing for her.
But for now her thoughts are getting in the way.
Her, what she used to call boyfriend,
Her life outside of here.
If it wasn't for all these things she'd be in my arms,
clinging onto me without thinking of letting go anytime soon.
But this isn't working out as I had imagined.
She's not clinging onto me.
She's not looking at me with loving in her eyes.
She doesn't want to be with me.
But I'm not worried,
because that'll change.
