Chapter 6: Back to School Drama

So today was back to school. Man, I wish I could just skip it but then I already ditched yesterday. Speaking of yesterday, that was fun. I got to go to a concert, go on rides, eat good food and hang out with Kukai... AS A FRIEND. I thought as I was changing into my school uniform. When I buttoned up my last button, I woke up my shugo chara's.

'Hey Tara, Kira, Naomi!' I whisper shouted.

'Morning Grace.' She said yawning.

'Ugghh...5 more minutes...zzz.' Kira mumbled.

'Let's go!' Naomi answered energetically.

'Ok ok, c'mon.' I said. Tara and Naomi flew off first whilst Kira was still snoring away. I chuckled as I gently picked her up and lay her on my shoulder. Walking downstairs, I made myself a quick breakfast and started walking to school. Its quite funny that I'm not late or early. Oh yeah, I need to get a note for yesterday. What are the chances of anyone spotting me or Kukai at the festival? As I was thinking to myself, I saw Amu in the distance in front of me.

'Hey Amu!' I shouted while I waved. She waved back and waited for me as I caught up to her.

'Hi Grace. Where were you yesterday?' She questioned.

'Ummm...I was at home because... I felt a little sick.' I said as I did an exaggerated cough whilst crossing my fingers without her seeing.

'Oh, are you alright? Are you sure you should go to school today?' She answered worriedly.

'Oh yeah! I'm fine, really.' I answered smiling.

'So... what'd I miss?' I asked.

'Well, we had a substitute teacher yesterday for PE, and we had to run laps. So when I was running, Ran character changed with me!' She said with a sweat drop.

I snickered as I imagined Amu uncontrollably running with a horrified face non stop. 'Oh gosh, what happened then?' I asked chuckling.

'Well, let's just say I was exhausted and Ran was having 'quality time' with Ami.' She answered with evil eyes.

'Oh no. I feel sorry for Ran now.' I said as I gulped. We talked about our assignments and yesterday's school day. We arrived at school and saw the gang all there.

'GOOD MORNING GRACE!' Yaya shouted as she ran up to me giving me a mega hug with me returning it. 'Hey guys!' I said waving.

'Hello Grace.' Tadase greeted.

'Hiya!' Nadeshiko said smiling.

'Morning Grace!' Kukai said.

'Morning to you all too.' I answered back. Kira woke up and flew off with Tara and Naomi somewhere with the other shugo chara's. Well, they know where their going. We had small talk until we were dismissed by the bell. I walked to class while talking to Amu and Tadase. So today, turns out at the end of the day we have a essay writing test and I was not whatsoever prepared. Crap it all. When we took out seats for the test, I felt like someone was eyeing me. I turned around and saw a small and cute looking girl with blond waves and a black bow headband.

'Umm Hi... can I help you?' I asked smiling. She stared at me for about 5 more seconds and then said 'hmmp'. Well you always need good impressions so here goes. 'Hi, I'm Grace and is there anything you'd like to ask me?' I said anyway.

'No.' She said coldly.

She sent me a glare and went back to her own things. Well, that went well. As the test started, I was so calm even though I haven't revised because it was an easy topic to write about. When the test ended, I decided that I'd confront her and give it another shot. The minutes past quicker than I thought and finally, the test ended. Everyone was quickly shuffling out the class, and I told Amu that I'd meet her in the garden later. Luckily, the girl was still in her seat. I took a deep breath and walked up to her desk.
