Shit

He starts to grab me and I act scared and defenseless. Then he starts to drag me away from the exit and I kick and scream. He puts my his hand over my mouth and I tense up and bite the shit out of it till I feel his flesh in my mouth. He drops me to the ground and howls in agony. I take this time to kick him in the balls and run.

The exit. Five feet in front of me. I sprint out the door not looking back. I run as fast as I can taking note of my surroundings. Woods. I see the sun rising. I'm heading east, I note for later.

Population. I escaped. I run into the first building I see. I burst in, and run to the front desk. I tell them who I am knowing that my brothers had to have sent out an amber alert. They call the police and comfort me as I wait. I am in the back of a patrol car, headed to the hospital. "What state are we in?" I politely ask the officer in the passenger seat, my voice not as dried house because they gave me aspirin and water. "San Antonio, Texas." the officer continues, "You have traveled a long way, young lady. You are so lucky to be alive.

The sirens wail as we speed down the freeway. My mind in a blur, replaying this weeks moments over and over in my head. A warm tear trickles down my cheek.

We arrive to the hospital and I am engulfed by doctors and nurses pulling me onto a stretcher and taking me into ICU. "Your family is taking a jet on the way here right now. They are really excited to see you." Tears burn the corner of my eyes, threatening to spill. Stay Strong, I tell my self. Next thing I know, darkness.
