PIV's POV.
My head hurts so much tonight, as well as my gastrocnemius. I paddled my bike since 1pm and just finished up now. I strolled the whole place and its more than ok. I mean, its kinda perfect, for me. Sa second floor medyo malaki laki na yung both rooms, spacious for one occupant. I also found out na exclusive for students lang ang dormitory na to. Cool eh?
Pag lumabas ka, madami kang makikita. I strode my bike to the left side and get past houses and other dormitories. Oops. Lets not think about stuffs like that. The last one I saw is that Book Store and across it was a Store of Pirated DVDs. Cool. Tapos yung Junk Shop na, na pag lumiko ka sa kaliwa, nasa kalsada ka na, full of vehicles and smokes and malls and all. Dun ko nga nakita yung PureGold last time. San kaya kame sasakay sa Monday papuntang school? Wala akong nakitang terminal ng trike or jeep dito. Nah. Gab will take care of that.
As I am massaging my temples, I heard my phone rang. I grabbed my phone on my bedside closet and look who's calling. Unregistered number. I hate answering phone calls. Even so, I slide the answer button and wait for the caller to talk.
"Hello?" Said a sweet voice, giving me goosebumps.
"Yeah. Who's these?"
"Is this Piv? Is this still your number?"
"Ahuh." I said and heard the other line laugh in relief.
"Piv! Its me! Harleigh!" She said, almost shriking that Im not sure If my right ear is still intact.
"Ah. Harhar. Its just you." I replied coldly and she laughed again.
"Youre always like that, so sweet! Kamusta ka na?!"
"Same as ever."
"Ask me too!"
"Ok."
"Where's the question?"
"You suggested to ask the same question, of course you already know what will I ask."
"You never changed at all!" She said playing heartbroken.
"I remembered saying that earlier, chick."
"Dont you miss meeee?!!"
"Why would I?"
"Impakta ka talaga! If I didnt know you for so long, maybe until now, I hate you!"
"Why dont you?" I asked as I yawned. Of course I know why.
"Ewan sayo! Gaga ka talaga! I miss you so much Piv. Save mo tong new number ko ha? Let's text each other tomorrow, ok? Goodnight girl."
"Ok. Goodnight. And. I miss you too. Damn you."
"I knew you were, heh." I heard her chuckle. "Ill hang up first. Nighty night." And she ended the call.
That was our childhood friend right there, Harleigh. At first glance, youll be inlove with her, until you talk to her. She says everything inside her mind without thinking. That's what I like about her. She's crazy alright, sometimes, I mean, often, but she's just being honest. That's what I find cool about her. The funniest thing about her is that, she has a huge crush on Gab, my abnoxious cousin. I can sense it even though she's hiding it from me. We've been together since gradeschool and Ive mastered her. Ofcourse, Gab can sense it too. And that mongoloid cousin of mine always makes it obvious to her that he didnt have the same feeling. Or is it not? I dont know. And I mustn't care. Its just that we three have been together for so long that a thing like THAT is to be noticed.
I go out my room and goes to the kitchen to see Gab preparing our dinner.
"Hi Mom." I teased without sounding humorous.
"Who are you?" He said not looking at me.
"Did you receive a call from Harhar or anything?" I said, ignoring his sarcasm. I call that slut Harhar because her name is so feminine that I want to puke.
"I left my phone on my room."
"Ah. Ok."
"But she did text me yesterday, said she's gonna transfer school here with us too."
"Ohmygod, no. Dont make it happen!"
"Dont you miss her, bitch?"
"Same question for you, jerk."
"Kakain ka na ba?"
"Baket anu ba yan?"
"Pininyahan."
"Manok?"
"Yeah."
"Kain na ko."
"Ready the plates."
"Yess Boss."
After a while, we have our dinner there, in silence. Well, we did respect the saying "dont talk when your mouth is full" thing. Gab sure will make a good husband someday. Hah. Harhar's definitely in a big push. We finished eating and kept some leftovers for tomorrow's breakfast.
"Maliligo ka ba?" Gab asked before going out the kitchen.
"Nope. After this, Ill sleep." Yeah.
"Eww." I heard him say before leaving my sight.
"Gay." I said, scrubing the plates.
