Get a pet from a no-kill shelter.
A lot of the shelters today are kill shelters! They will throw out animals if nobody comes to get them too fast. If you're trying to get a pet, go to a no-kill shelter. You're only promoting the business if you go to a kill shelter, instead of saving lives. And the rest of those puppies and kittens might perish. It's a sad thought. But if we don't buy from kill shelters, they will go out of business! And hopefully it will stop.
