Kyamyi's POV

When we got to town we parted ways just like I predicted. The silence wasn't really akward, or uncomfortable, it was more relaxing than anything. When you're quiet you can listen and hear the birds fluttering in the trees above your head, the squirrels chattering and chasing eachother playfuly, all of it is just peaceful even for a really hyper girl like me.

I feel bad for lying to him but it was the only way to get rid of him gently. Maybe one day we could actually be friends, I'm sure he would be up for that. And so I was on my way to where Gaara and his siblings were staying; I figured they didn't live here because they were actually from The sand village. I stood bouncing on my toes after I knocked on their door.

"Hi, Ky. Hey look that rhymed." Kankuro opened the door smiling.

"You wish you were a poet." I told him grinning.

"I could out rhyme you any day."

"Don't kid with me boy, I don't like to play." I was quick on my feet.

"If you compete against me, I surely will win."

"Well I've been waiting and waiting for you to begin."

"I have to warn you I go at a fast pace."

"Well I just wish you two would shut your face... -es." Temari came to the door

"Wow, who knew you couldn't rhyme." Kankuro told his sister.

"Why don't you think a little," I turned to her. "next time." I smirked.

She groaned. "You want Gaara, right?"

"No, she's come for a poetry fight." Kankuro said.

"I'll just ignore that." She face-palmed

"What? We're just having a friendly chat." I Laughed.

"Just come in and I'll get him." Before we could say anything she added "Then I'll get an orange."

Kankuro and I searched our brains but neither of us could find a word that rymes with 'orange'. Temari laughed and went inside the house, we followed her our shoulders slumped.

Kankuro went in and sat down in a chair. Temari went up a flight of stairs to get Gaara. Kankuro gestured to me to sit in the black loveseat next to his chair, and I did. It made me smile, there was a white loveseat in my temporary home, and here there was a black one, but both chairs were meant for two people, possibly two people in love, hence the name 'loveseat'.

"Kyamyi, I'm proud of you." He looked at me seriously.

"Why?"

"You've changed Gaara so much in the little time you've known him. I mean Naruto changed him first and then after that we thought that was the end, that Gaara wouldn't change anymore, we learned to live with it. Then you came along, and took him a step farther than we thought possible; sure he showed signs that he cared about us here and there, but you helped him to do more than just care, you helped him love."

I blushed, I didn't know I had that much of an impact on Gaara's life, let alone the impact on the rest of his family. "I- I-" I heard footsteps coming down the steps so I stopped what I was going to say. Kankuro raised an eyebrow but he did not question me.

Temari came down first and sat in a chair across from me, and that left Gaara to sit next to me. I blushed and smiled at him.

"So have you gotten any good gifts?" He asked me, curiously.

"Well Jeike is the best gift I could ever get, but there were some things that I liked better than others."  I grinned bigger.

"Jeike?" Kankuro and Temari asked in unison.
