Kyamyi's POV

I didn't know where I was going; maybe I would find Hinata somewhere. If anything, I would try to avoid pink haired girls, mostly those whose names are Sakura. I didn't feel like asking anyone where Hinata lived, but even if I did, it was still early so only a few people where out on the street. I found myself lost in thought when I heard a familiar voice.

"Hey, Kyamyi!"

I looked up at the voice and it turned out to be my dog boy, Kiba.

"Hi, Kiba." I gave him a once-over. "No dog today?"

"Nah, Akamaru's sick."

"Oh, I hope he gets better."

"He'll be fine." He rubbed the back of his neck.

"So what are you doing out so early?" I broke the tension and gave him a smile.

"I was going to ask you the same thing." He caught on and smiled back.

"I was actually searching for someone to show me around the village; you know anyone who would be willing?"

"Yeah, sure, I know a guy; he's standing in front of you!" He grinned.

"Alright, lead the way!" I grinned right back to him.

He showed me shops, a nice restaurant were we had Beef steak jerky, one of HIS favorites (ramen wasn't on the menu.) buildings, bridges, houses, you name it. I made a special note on the houses of people that I should avoid like Sasuke's and Sakura's, and houses of my friends like Hinata and where the sand siblings were staying.

"I've saved the best place for last." he looked down at me and smiled.

The sun was setting, and the sky was starting to turn an orange-peach color. The rode we were walking on was fading, until it was completely gone and replaced by grass. In the distance I could hear the churning of water.

"Is that a waterfall?" I asked.

"I can't tell you, it’s a secret." he gave me a sly smile.

"Oh, c’mon tell me."

"Don't worry we'll be there soon."

And he wasn't lying we got there in about two minutes, tops.

"It's... beautiful." Beautiful was an understatement; we were in a small clearing on a cliff. There was a small river that flowed into a waterfall, and just over the waterfall you could clearly see the sunset.

Kiba sat down in the grass and gestured me to sit next to him.

"This is where I come to think, or just relax."

"I can see why." I leaned in closer to his side and rested my head on his shoulder. I could almost see him smile but I kept my eyes on the sunset. A grin found its way on my face when he wrapped his arm around my shoulder and pulled me closer to him as we watched the sun go down.

Kiba's POV

Kyamyi smelled wonderful, like cherry blossoms and cinnamon. The sweet-and-spicy smell fit her. Why Akamaru doesn't like her, I'll never know. I'd bet that if he got close enough to smell her then he'd love her in an instant. But he won’t go near her, and after what happened yesterday, I don't think she would want to be near him either.

I looked down at her, she was dosing off. Her eyes staying shut a little bit longer each time she closed them, until they didn't open anymore. She was even more beautiful when she slept. The sun was almost gone, but her eyelashes still made shadows across her cheeks. Her bunny hood was silly but it framed her face well.
