"Sometimes you have to realize that some people don't say what they mean"
-Tala

When I finally arrive at the small coffee shop I work at, my best friend greets me happily. We've known each other since I was 14. High school sucked for me, but she was always there to help me. Mary. That was her name.
"Hey lil' Wolfie!!" She greets me, enthusiasm clear in her voice. Today she had her bright flame-red hair up in a messy bun that will most likely turn into a messy-ponytail after a days work.
"Hey Mar" a smile manages its way to my lips. Even with my dark hair covering most of my face, nothing could ever hide how much I loved coming to work each and every day. Yea, I know,  work. Nobody likes wooork, but I do. It's a distraction from the bills, the curse of my family,  Plus, I get to see Mary. Granted I'm not so fond of her boyfriend, but she is my best friend.
Friend, it's such a funny word. It could mean i love you but you will never love me or we hate each other maybe we just can't come out yet. I hate that word. She is my only friend who liked or ever likes me. But she's so..not like me. We're best friends, but sometimes I wish she didn't like her boyfriend. I'm getting side tracked..
"Um exuse me miss?" An older woman, maybe in her forties, was standing at the counter.
"Oh um yes, what would you like?" I ask, completely forgetting where I was.
"My daughter wanted a..pumpkin lat-eu?" She looked so confused and hilarious, but I'd dont laugh.
"Oh the Pumpkin spice Latte! I can get that right away, just wait over there," I point to a few empty tables
After the lady walks away I head off to make the coffee. As I finish and I'm about to put on the lid, I hear giggling from the back.
Sighing, I set down the cup on the counter.
" one pumpkin spice latte" I then quickly run off to the storage room
"Um" I'm met face to face with a smitten Mary gigging at Dean, who is being all smoooth an shish. They both look at me, Mary is smiling but Dean scowled at me.
"Oh uhh Dean, your shift" I say nervously, realizing I've interrupted this without a plan.
Hah child, you know you're just being a nuisance.
Niral.
Oh c'mon you're supposed to leave me alone at work.
But you know it's true
Just shudup.

Dean checked his watch and scuffed. I looked down as he scurried out of the back room to go greet the people in the front.
"Tal, are you okay?" Mary asked with pleading eyes.
"Yea of course. Just came to remind him..," I don't meet her gaze, just walk out. The rest of the day continues. Dean is still pissed about this morning, but Mary I think forgave me. She was always like that. So kind and forgiving. It just makes me love her more. Of course as a friend.
