Laura's POV

"No she isn't back yet." I don't even need Louis to ask when he walks into the trailer for the 10th time. It's 2:00am and Louis has been checking in about every half hour to see if Jenna's back yet. Despite the fact that I told him I would call him as soon as she got here. If she'll ever get here.

"I figured as much." Louis says as he pulls opens the trailer door and starts to walk out of it. "Louis wait..." He stops midway through closing the door and walks back into the trailer. "Yeah?" His face is very pale and he keeps running his hands through his hair, which is unusually flat on his head. His eyes are slightly bloodshot. Neither of us have gotten any sleep yet.

"We leave in 3 hours." I tell him. "I know that!" He explodes at me. "How many times do you have to tell me? We leave at 5:00am, I get it!" Tears I can no longer hold back trickle down my face. "Oh Laura I'm so sorry." His face softens and he pulls me into his arms. "I've been inconsiderate, I'm not the only one in pain." "She's my best friend." A tear runs off my cheek and falls into my mouth. It tastes salty and slightly bitter. I pull off Louis arms that are wrapped around me. "I can't believe she did this to us! She could have a least told us she wanted to go! She didn't have to just leave!" My nails dig into the skin in my palms.

"It's my fault. Don't be mad at her, be mad at me." Louis sits down at the kitchen table. "No it's not Louis, she's the one who decided to just get up and leave." "I'm going to head back to my trailer now. Try to get some sleep." "That's a good idea, I should probably too." I don't watch Louis leave. I just open the door that leads to the bunks on either side of the room. Finding my bed, I push the sheet to the side that sort of gives us privacy.

Then I change my mind. If Jenna does come back, she won't know where I am. I stumble my way through the dark (lol) to the kitchen table. I sit down and lay my head against the hard surface.

Creeeak! I whip my head up off of my hands and groan. I put my hand behind my head and massage my neck. It hurts because I fell asleep at an odd angle.

"Laura?" The noise that had woken me up was the door opening. The voice I had just heard was Jenna's. I jump out of my chair and push it forward towards the table so fast it makes a screeching sound. Running forward I pull Jenna into hug. I feel her body shaking with sobs.

"Laura. I'm so so sorry. It was stupid of me to leave you like that. You had no idea where I had gone. I needed some time to think and... and... I was just so stupid." "It's okay, Jenna. It's okay." I hug her tighter to stop her from blubbering. All the anger I had felt at her earlier seems to melt away. I'm just so glad she came back.

The door opens again. "Jenna!" "Louis!" Jenna let's go of me and Louis wraps his arms around her. "Jenna, I'm so sorry. You were upset because I wasn't spending enough time with you. I get that. Plus we've had to keep this whole relationship a secret, and that's not right! Tomorrow after we spend some time together and relax, I'm going to tell everyone we're dating and we will get to spend even more time together!" "Oh Louis, that's so sweet of you." Through the dark (lol) I see him use his pointer finger to wipe off her tears. He pulls her into his chest and gives her right cheek bunches of tiny kisses.

"Do you want to come back to my trailer?" He asks. "No, no. I'll spend the night here with Laura. We'll get to be together tomorrow night. See you tomorrow morning?" "Yes. I'll meet you outside my trailer at 8:00am. Alright?" "Sounds good." He kisses her hard on the lips and then leaves. "Here Jenna, I'll show you where your bed is." Opening the door leading to the bunks she whispers, "Thank you so much for putting up with me, Laura." I stiffle a laugh and say, "Jenna, you do realize you're my only friend here. I'd pretty much do anything for you." "Thank you." She says even softer. "But why aren't you friends with any of them?" She gestures to her right and left, to where all my coworkers are sleeping. "You'll see tomorrow." I mumble. "Your bed's right here." I point to the bed right above mine.

She climbs up the ladder and pulls blankets on top of her. "Can I ask you, where did you go tonight?" I ask her. "I'll tell you everything tomorrow, I promise." She says sleepily. " 'Night. " She mumbles. "Good night." I reply.
