Jenna's POV
We stepped into the limo and I know that no matter what we do today, this is going to be one of the best days of my life. "Music please, Patrick." Louis says and the driver immediately turns the radio up loud. It's Sing by Ed Sheeran. "So what's the plan for today?" I ask Louis. "Plan? We don't have a plan. Today our goal is to just have as much fun as possible, cause as many problems as possible and end up with as many regrets as possible." Laura looks a bit pale, but I reply, "Exactly what I had in mind." I casually pick up a pair of black sunglasses off the seat and put them on while I roll down the window. "Probably a good idea." Laura says, "You don't want to get recognized." I laugh, "No one here is going to recognize me, I just want to look cool."
First stop is at a bowling alley. As the limo pulls up, Louis slips on a gray sweatshirt and pulls the hood up over his head. "I didn't know that we'd be ending up with any regrets from going to a bowling alley." I joke. "Oh we're just getting started here." Louis gets out of the limo and takes my hand to help me out. "Plus this is the fun part, not the regrets part."
He was right about that. We played two games and the first one Louis one, the second one I won. But I'm pretty sure he let me win. Laura used the excuse that she wasn't any good at bowling. I felt bad for her, she was kinda like the third-wheel. While I waited for my turn I sat on Lou's lap and after either of us got a strike, which for him was often, we kissed and hugged. After we all had pizza, we were off to the arcade, where Louis won be a stuffed purple frog. Then all three of us got into a photo booth and we took a bunch of silly photos.
Next stop was to the movie theater. Louis wanted to see Godzilla, but Laura said she didn't like those kind of movies. I wouldn't have minded seeing an exciting movie where I could snuggle up with Louis Tomlinson, but because I hadn't been much of a friend to Laura much today, we decided on The Fault in Our Stars. I had already read the book, but neither Louis or Laura had. At the end I could swear Louis was even tearing up a bit. I got to snuggle up with him anyway.
Next we went to a go-cart place. Louis and I raced while Laura just watched. The wind whipped through my hair and cooled down the hot metal sides of the cart. I took the lead for a while and then Louis came from behind for the win at the finish line. "Nooooo!" I shouted and forgot to step on the break hard enough so, I slammed my go-cart into Louis. It wasn't very hard, but the Laura gasped loudly causing me and Louis to break out laughing. Then one of the go-cart workers yelled at us, causing us to laugh even harder. Today really was turning out to be the best day ever.
"Louis what are we doing here?" I asked him when we got to the next stop. "I just thought I would get myself another tattoo." The limo has pulled up in front of The Artsy Tattoo Place. "Oh like you don't have enough!?" Laura cuts in. "Management will have my head for this." Louis gives her a look. "Oh come on, not you too!" He says. "Louis you do have a lot of tattoos..." I trail off. "Come off it, we're already here. We might as well go in and check out the place." He takes my hand and kisses it and how am I supposed to say no to Louis Tomlinson? "Maybe we'll even get you a tattoo." My hand goes rigid. Hmm, it's not a terrible idea. I have been wanting a tattoo ever since I saw the boys with all their tattoos. And tattoos are just so... sexy. But what kind of tattoo would I get? They are fricking permanant, I want to get one I'll always like. It will have to have significance. "Maybe I will." I give Louis a devilish smile. "Jenna! I am ashamed of you taking his side. You are not seriously going to get a tattoo. How about we get you a soda or something." I laugh loudly, "Come on Laura, stop being such a goody goody. Remember the "regrets" part of today?" "And you want that regret to be something permanent, on your body." She asks me and puts her hands on her hips. "Absolutely."
Inside the tattoo parlor the air conditioner is on high and causes goosebumps all over my arms. Even though it's freezing, sweat pasters my hair to my face and I wipe my forehead. I'm so nervous. Maybe Laura is right. Should I go through with this. Louis seems to know how I'm feeling. He grabs my hand and walks with me over to an "operating" chair. Louis sits down and squeezes my hand.
"I'll be fine. I promise."
I swallow hard and bite my lip.
"You don't have to do this, Jenna." Laura has come up behind us.
"I know that. I want to."
A man comes over and asks Louis what tattoo he wants.
"Well I've been wanting a lock for a while now."
Suddenly I get an idea.
"Louis, what if I get a matching key!? One that would fit your lock?"
I look into Louis' eyes and smile.
Louis looks down at the ground and chews on his bottom lip. Why does he have to look so sexy when he does that? What is he thinking about and why wouldn't he want to get couples tattoos? After a minute or so, Louis looks up. His eyes are slightly glazed over, like he has been thinking hard. The smile that is now on his face looks forced.
"Yeah, Jenna. That's a great idea." He turns to the man about to give us our tattoo and asks to see the lock and key outlines he can do. Louis and I look at the tattoo booklet that the man shows us. Louis doesn't talk at all. I find a nice simple, small key with a matching lock with an old-fashion look to it. I point at it and Louis nods his head once.
Louis sits down on the chair again and says to the man, "Left wrist please."
The man washes his wrist and takes out the needle and ink.
"Is Louis always like this when he's getting a tattoo?" I whisper to Laura.
"This quiet? I'm not sure. I've never come with him before."
The man lowers the needle to Louis' skin. I turn around. I may be brave enough to get a tattoo, but I'm not brave enough to watch.
About fifteen minutes later, Laura taps me on the shoulder. Louis is inspecting his tattoo. It looks great! The man covers the tattoo with some kind of clear wrap. Louis gets up and walks over to the cash register to pay. I sit down in the chair. This is it. "You can do this. You can do this." I think to myself.
A loud rock song starts playing somewhere. At first, I think it's coming from the parlor's loudspeakers. But then I realize it's Louis' phone. Louis, upon seeing who the call was from, answers the phone immediately. He puts the phone to his ear, and the blood seems to drain from his face. Louis doesn't say a word. He just listens hard to what the person on the other end is saying. Unfortunately I can't hear a word of what the person is saying. A minute later, the blood rushes back to Louis' face. The hand that isn't holding his phone forms a tight fist. His face looks like a mix between anger and sadness. I start to start to get to my feet but Laura pushes me back into the chair. Laura looks concerned and keeps glancing at her phone, but it doesn't make a sound.
Finally Louis puts his phone back into his pocket. The man at the cash register has been waiting for his credit card. Louis whips it out of his pocket and says quickly to the man, "This is for them to," glancing sharply over his shoulder. Then he strides out of the shop into the limo. A second later the limo drives away leaving behind tire tracks and a bunch of dust. "He just left me here. To get our couples tattoo, without my own boyfriend!" I think to myself.
"I can't believe he did this." I say quietly to Laura.
The tattoo- worker walks over to us, ready to start on me. I don't know if I should go through with this anymore. I push the tattoo thought out of my mind for a second to ask Laura, "What the hell was that."
Her reply was simply, "I have no idea."
