Family?

Chapter 1: The News

"Hey kiddo, I have some good news for you"
Eleven looked up at the wholarge man who had become her father.
"We're uh, we're gonna move in with the Byers."
Joyce and Hopper had been dating for a bit now. After the two years they'd had, they became very close. It was nice for El to have a mother figure to look up to.
She looked up at him with big hopeful eyes, an unspoken question between them.
"You gotta stay in hiding for a little bit longer though. You'll move in in February."
Disappointment. That was sixty-five days.
"Half-happy." She said.
"Sorry kid. But that gives Jonathan and Will more time to get your room ready for you." He added with a small smile.
The hope flickered back into Elevens eyes.
"Brothers?" She asked. She knew brothers were like sisters, buy boys. Hopper smiled.
"Yeah. You'll have two brothers."
Eleven smiled. It felt good to know she would have brothers of her own. A mama of her own. A family of her own.
"Family." She said.
Hopper was taken aback by this. He hadn't had a real family since Sara died. He took her in his arms. "Yeah kiddo, a family" he said, trying to fight back tears.

Meanwhile, at the Byers household, Joyce was relaying the good news to her two boys.
"So El will be our sister?" Will asked excitedly. Jonathan smiled. At his brothers enthusiasm, and the prospect of having a new sibling.
"Yes!" Joyce nodded. She was so excited. She really did love Hopper and the feeling was mutual. The idea of him moving in and being a father figure to her son's made her swell with joy.
"We'll have to turn the laundry room into a bedroom for her. Will and I can help." Jonathan suggested. After the year they had, he felt protective over the little girl. He knew she had nightmares as well, and having El in the laundry room would have her and Will close enough to him to feel secure of both of them.
"That's a great idea!" Joyce exclaimed, happy her boys were on board with the idea. She couldn't wait to have a daughter, and maybe even a husband someday soon.
