Be prepared for long run on sentences cause this is loooonnnnggggg
1. How many Pokéfics have you written and/or currently writing?
I have only completed two oneshots, both of which I have attempted to enter into the Pokémon Watty Awards, "Tails" and "The Time Has Come: The Two Goodbyes That Can Withstand The Test Of Time". I have several that are like, discontinued and whatnot. I may write more eventually but for the time being, my main focuses are on The Inkanni Chronicles: Secrets From The Start and the oneshots in my Pokémon Oneshots book.
2. Which of your Pokéfics is your favorite?
By far The Inkanni Chronicles, Tails, and The Time Has Come. I really appreciate that people support TICSFTS because, logically, an OC X Tracey story would be overlooked or hated on due to people who hate Tracey, simply because he was Brock's replacement. You guys have no idea how happy I am when I can tell that someone is really enjoying it, and it somewhat boosts my confidence as a writer when people actually say that they ship them. Romance isn't even what I want to really focus on in that story- because it's supposed to be adventure and fantasy, but I just haven't gotten to that point yet. I'm also happy about people who have read The Time Has Come and Tails. I had no idea that The Time Has Come was so sad, until people actually commented saying that it was too emotional or that they cried. I also am proud to say that I actually made one of my favorite Wattpad authors, Sylveon12, cry reading that oneshot.... even if she blamed it on onions XD. And Tails, damn, am I proud of that one. I had the plot in my mind for the longest time, and when the announcement of Misty and Brock's return and jirachi8's Eeveelution oneshot writing contest showed up, it seemed like the perfect opportunity had presented itself to me. That's why I decided to have it be the oneshot I entered into the Pokémon Watty Awards instead of The Time Has Come, because I thought that everyone someone should read it and maybe even give me advice if it's an honorable mention. If you haven't already checked out or commented on those stories, you have no idea how happy I'd be if you did :)
3. Do you prefer using canon characters or OCs for your main characters?
I prefer the mix of both, discovering the personality of the OC through how they interact with the well known personalities of the canon characters... Okay I take that back. For writing about Tracey is a bit more challenging compared to writing a story with a character that has had more of their past and relatives revealed. When writing about Tracey, you kinda have to make up some things. For example, Tracey's hometown isn't actually Tangelo Island like it is in The Inkanni Chronicles, it is actually unknown. I just used Tangelo Island because that's where Ash and Misty first met him. My oh my, here I am on a tangent about Tracey again XD.
4. What are some of your favorite Pokéfics and why?
Oh man... I.. I really can't do that. I mean, Wishful Waiting by Milkythemusicalmarf is a definite good one, despite the few grammar errors that are there, but the overall plot and drive of the story has the readers begging for more, and she still has the will power to continue even when people give occasional criticism against her OC and Ash for being together, which is something admirable we all should seek. It has truely been awhile since I've kept track of the stories I've read when some are similar to others, to where it gets harder to tell which are better stories. But five writers that never cease to amaze me no matter what they write, are Jamie_Stang, PersonSayinStuff, Sylveon12, EmsDragonOfFire and Warlordess. If you haven't checked any of these people out before, then you don't know what you've been missing out on. For shipping, Jamie_Stang provides the best GeekChic and Clemont stories out there, and is a must for satisfying GeekChic cravings. His advanced vocabulary makes his works both hard to follow and impressive all at the same time, especially at his age, and it never stops astonishing me. Warlordess is an outstanding PokéShipping writer, and has even more on her FanFiction account, which is where she copies her stories from to Wattpad. So if you haven't found a good PokéShipping story and have FanFiction, please support her works. And EmsDragonOfFire's Breaking Free of The Ties, Saving Ash's Afterlife, and her PokéShipping oneshots book are great and don't disappoint. PersonSayinStuff 's oneshots are also spectacular and I'm sorry that I read them when I was a silent reader and I may have to read them ALL again because they're so good. Also started reading her story Uncovering The Truth earlier today (er, yesterday) because I had it in my library since forever, and still hadn't gotten around to it. For really, really hilarious and light heart warming (or occasional ship smashing XD) stories, Sylveon12 is the way to go. Not only will you find comedy in her If The Pokémon Characters Had Facebook, but she has it nicely blended into her Pokémon Oneshots and her FerrisWheelShipping and SoulSilverShipping books I'm currently forgetting the names of other than her newest SoulSilver one, Say Anything. Her writing is typically what provokes some of my own joke ideas, and in some cases, has made me steal her jokes (refer to the part in this book entitled "Wowzers") and especially headcanons for the game-verse characters XD. I am probably leaving out a lot of great writers and their stories, so please understand that there are many more that I haven't mentioned.
