Chapter 3.) All TØP Facts & Evolution 2009-(present day)

First let me start by introducing the band : Twenty Øne Piløts (TØP) is a duo band made in 2009-(present day)

The first half of the band (founder & lead singer) Tyler Robert Joshep was born on December 1 ,1988 in  Columbus,Ohio he was home schooled and he played basketball for a bit.He planed on getting a collage scholarship on athletics because he didn't think he could get one on academics.But he disided to play the piano insted.He also sang the national anthem in his school & him and his brother Zack made a video of both of them lipsinging a Justin Timberlake songs

The second half of the band. (Drummer) Joshua William Dun was born on June 18 , 1988 also in Columbus,Ohio and he is self taught in playing the drumms.He started playing drums when he was 12. " I used to skatebord to my local record store and find the most tattoed guy I could find and have him recommend me and album,one a week or one every couple weeks and them I would walk across the street with my little CD player and then I would go into the store and play in three and play there a drumms and I would play in till they would kik me out and say other people need to buy drumms and I remember when I played my first beat that kida made sense and I though in my head that thats something I wanted to do forever."

Twenty Øne Piløts formed in 2009. At the time there was actually 3 members in the band: Tyler Joshep,Nick Tomas & Chris Salih 2009-2011

The band is called "Twenty Øne Piløts" because " I was studying a play and on that play some one made a decision to send out faulty artplain parts during a war and twenty one pilots died because they send them out and that person that send them out is the main character,he tried to justify why he send those parts out and he ultimately ened up comiding suicide at the end of the play and it is a constant reminder that we apply to our band that every night we play and it is a constant reminder that you have to make the right desition even tho it may be the hard sedition."

In December of 2009 the band released their day beu Self Titled album.Then a year later they made a cover of Christina Perry's - Jar Of Hearts and their Original song Time To Say GoodBye to Sound Cloud both are no longer available for free download

In 2011 both Nick Tomas and Chris Salih left the band.Then former drummer of House Of Heros (Josh Dun) became friends with Tyler after being invited to a Twenty One Piløts show by the used to be drummer (Chris Salih)

Now together Tyler & Josh are know the Twenty Øne Piløts we all know and love. The duo started to play local shows and they developed one of there stage outfits. The masks . "Our Goal is to try to get the bar tender or the people who work at the venue to stop working and look at at the stage for just a moment at lest and you have to do something that catches there attention and as much as the masks and the outfits and stuff were kinda just an attention graver it also kida represented this idea you were two guys that get up onstage its a very interesting thing to ballence this idea of being a band that has faces that are represented by individuals on stage but then also trying to create something that is a little more faceless that can kinda represent a group of people or have people relate to it."

In 2011 Tyler and Josh released the bands second album Reginal At Best the release resulted in a sold out show at Columbus'es New Port Music Hall that atracted the attention of a ton of record lables.

Then the dou singed to Fueled By Ramen in 2012 the same year they first had there song play on a radio station. "I don't know if i remeber too much but what I do remember is september 6 2012 in Michigan at Wane State University,yeah we remember way to well yeah I have a video on my phone of like the first time you ever played our song and for some reason we all got on our phones and computers and got on the KROO  wedsite and we were all like omgosh KROO is playing our song on the radio and it was the first time we ever hear our song on the radio yeah it was a big ,it was a big deal."

The boys then dropped there 3rd album Vessel in 2013 which reached #58 on the Billboard 200. Then Fall Out Boy asked them to goin there Save Rock And Roll Arena Tour the fallowing fall.It was also around this time that Josh was dating Debby Rian.
She started in Disney's Sweet Life On Deck and Jessie.They split up in 2014 and there on good terms know Josh enjoys being single and hanging out with his friens like Halsey.

In May of 2015 Josh and Tyler droped 3 singles Fairly Local , Tear In My Heart and Stressed Out.Stressed Out was at #2 on the Billboard Hot 100.

They released BlurryFace on May 15,2015 with over One-Hundred
& Thirty Four-Thousand (100,034) sales in the first week it became their first #1 album on the Billboard 200.
