The rest of the day went on and apart of me couldn't stop thinking about that old memory. So distant and pure. But a part of me wanted to let go. Was I wrong for thinking that ?

"You ready to go home" Damien said looking down at me and holding my hand. This time I let him hold my hand and I held it back.

"Yeah I'm ready." I said looking back up at him.

When we got back to the pack house everything was going the same as any other day. Some pack members we sitting playing video games and some were just talking and laughing.

I saw little Brody coming to me again and I picked him up and gave him a kiss on his little chubby cheek.

Damien wrapped his arm around my waist and said "There's someone I want you to meet."

And as he said that two people rounded the corner and approached me, Damien and Brody. One was a female the same height as me, but she had pale olive skin and dark blue eyes and black hair. She seemed older then everyone else and so did the male who was with her. He was tall and looked exactly like a older Damien. It was his parents.

The woman smiled softly at me and hugged me tightly after I let Brody down.

"It is a pleasure to meet you, I'm Damiens mother. Vanessa." She said embracing me which I gladly returned back.

"I'm Damiens father. It's nice to finally meet you. I'm Darrel." He said shaking my hand.

"It's real nice to meet you guys too. I'm Elena." I said kindly back to them smiling.

We all talked together and even cracked some jokes too. It turns out Damiens father is really funny. I laughed a lot meeting them for the first time.

It was nearly 11 pm and Damien decided to head upstairs. When he kissed his mom's cheek and headed upstairs I noticed something was off. Damien seemed sad and when he looked at me before going up the stairs, I knew the look in his eyes.

He had a broken look in his eyes.

"Have a good night!" Damiens mother said as she walked down the driveway and into the car with Damiens father.

"You too!" I said waving back. That's when I closed the door and headed upstairs to Damiens and my room. Before I could open the door I was overwhelmed with the feeling of sadness.

I opened the door slowly and entered the room. "Damien? You alright?" I said softly.

I walked over to the edge of the bed where he was sitting, looking down at his hands, and sat down beside him.

"It doesn't matter. You don't care for me." He said slowly. That's when I looked over at him and saw tears running down his cheeks.

The feeling of guilt washed over me. What was I doing? I didn't even give him a chance from the start. I am in the wrong. It was because of me that he was crying.

I reached over and held his hand. He looked over at me with great pain behind his big blue eyes. I reached up and wiped his tears from his eyes. The soft spark running through us. He leaned into my hand and closed his eyes.

"I'm sorry, Damien. I shouldn't have iced you out like that. I just..." I said softly, my voice breaking a little.

He moved closer to me and held my hands in his own. It was like the emotions I felt before came rushing back to me. Emotions of sadness, regret and more.

"What happened to you, Elena? Why won't you give me chance to make you smile?" He said looking down at me with a loving and sad look.

"I'm scared, Damien. I've already lost someone so close to me, what if I allow myself to feel again and I lose you too?" I said tears running down both our cheeks.
