Have you ever wondered, why do most elevators not have a 13th floor? Well, most say because it is simply unlucky. 13 has a bad reputation I guess. You may realize that some places do have a 13th floor. But no one ever really goes there. The button on the elevator is probably broken anyway and who even takes the stairs these days? Even if so, the door is most likely locked. Don't you sometimes feel curious though? You know it's stupid and pointless and you've heard the stories, watched the horror movies, you know you'll end up dead. It's that urge to self-destruct, (L'appel du vide - French for "the call of the void." thanks, @danielhowell) That cat-like curiosity that dwells within us all.
I'm not that stupid. Trust me. I have seen enough Supernatural and other shows like that to know, don't go on the abandoned floor with locked doors. It is locked for a reason. However, some people don't understand this. In horror movies, there is never a voice of reason strong enough to convince the idiots not to be idiotic. They should just yell 'Screw it! If you die I told you so!' and walk off. Natural selection will take its course. Well you see, I did not have that option. As I was trapped in an elevator with the moron. I felt like Hermione Granger, surrounded by those uneducated uncultured swines all week!
