I looked at the door to see My mother, Mouth Wide open, Staring at us. We separated immediately.

"I-I can explain!" Matt stuttered.

"Sorry!" I quickly apologized. We were almost just murdered by Shadowmen and fatal injuries and the thing scaring me the most right now is my mother. Put that into perspective. We walked out of the elevator as the doors close.

"Ivy, Matt, I am not Mad, I'm just surprised that Ivy can actually socialize without scaring everyone away."

"Thanks, Mom," I said rolling my eyes. I felt Matt's hand reach for mine. I took it and we walked down the hallway into the lobby holding hands.

"Dudeeeee..." said all the guys. With a few swear words and exclamations afterward. I looked over and saw Kat sitting on the couch she gave a thumbs up and Mouthed, "I Ship It!". I smiled knowing that she is safe in good health. My Dad burst through the door and yelled,

"What The Hell are you doing?! Where the Hell Were you!" and some other similar phrases. He smacked my hand away from Matt's and looked me in the eye yelling,

"I don't need my boys getting distracted by you and you're little antics!" He stormed off and My pale face turned bright red. All the boys mocked me and laughed. Kat got up, grabbed my arm, and we turned a corner. Matt followed.

"Adversa?' she asked. "Adversa," I repeated. She nodded and thanked me. She hugged me and walked off humming "Crazy=Genius" by Panic! At the Disco. I smiled as I grabbed my bags and headed to the front desk.

"I'd like to file a complaint."

"What about?"

"The elevator, It dropped us off on the 13th floor."

"Mrs, We don't have a 13th floor."

"Exactly." I pivoted and walked off with Matt by my side. I looked over at him and laughed,

"We won a game of Go Fish and it saved our lives..." He smiled and laughed but I could tell that behind both of our eyes was pain and tears. We can deal with it later. We'll heal. We walked to the front door of the hotel, there was a sticky note posted,

"Hope you emos freaks had a good time! -Colin" Matt grabbed it, crumpled it, and threw it in the closest garbage bin. We'll deal with them later. Now we know there is more to our reality. We are not alone, we never were. So many questions are still unanswered. So many things still make no sense, there were faults in our logic, in our choices, but somehow it all seemed to work out. Pure luck, pure fortune in the land of misfortune.

I can't decide if it's for the better or worse but, without a doubt in my mind, Things have changed for me this summer.
