Chapter seven - let's get this party started

7:24am - Friday - Carter's room

I can slowly start to feel myself waking up, as I lay on the bed. As I wake up I notice I am not in my bed, not in my room. Not in my house. I pick up my phone to check the time when it reads 7:26. Holy hell! My mother is going to kill me for staying out all night. I go to get up but I'm pulled back by a very heavy Carter.

"Carter" I whisper trying to wake him.

"Carter" I hiss again.

"Carter!" I half yell while smacking him upside the head. He wakes up.

"What?! I'm awake! Don't hit me!" He yells back at me. I snicker at his reaction.

"I need to go, it's almost 7:30" I state in a tired tone.

"Oh come on you woke me up for that?" He doesn't even care, this boy is going to be the death of me.

"No, you kind of still have your arms around me" I gesture to his arms around my waist. He chuckles and then removes them. I get up and grab my keys off his nightstand.

"Well I'll see you then, okay" I say as I'm ready through the door.

"See you around cupcake" he says in a seductive tone. I laugh lightly as I'm walking down the stairs. I walk through the house and out the door without any issues. I take a deep breath as I start the engine of my car. I drive slowly, because the monster awaiting me at home is hungry, and I'm it's meal.

7:43am - Friday - my house

I sit in the car in my own driveway. Most people usually don't have to anticipate their own death while coming home but I do. I stop the engine and slowly get out of the car, making a my way over the stone path and up the steps to the door, I go to touch the handle but before I can the door flings open and there awaits my mother.

"Well well well, what a lovely surprise" she states sarcastically.

"Here I am, in the flesh" I reply, mirroring her sarcasm.

"Do not talk to me like that!" She yells, and we are still standing in the door way. I push past her and go inside.

"Listen, I was hanging out with someone and I accidentally fell asleep! I should have texted you!" I half yell at her, I can feel the anger that radiate off of her slowly descend.

"Yes, you should have texted me first" she says calming herself down. The idea of my hanging with someone is all she needs to forgive everything I've done. If only she knew who it was, she would have me dead in an instant.

"Again, i realize my mistake. May I go to my room now?" I ask so politely it hurts.

"Yes go, and no TV for a week" I nod my head in return and go to my room. I don't care about my punishment because I don't even watch TV. I immediately grab my towels and head for my shower. Yes I have a master bedroom. I want to get everything off of me. I can't believe I've missed two days of school this week. These boys are not good news.

9:57am - Friday - My room

I had done everything a girl needed to do, hair, teeth, body, face, stomach. You know all the fun stuff. Now all I have to do is lay in bed and do absolutely nothi- before I could even finish my thought, my phone goes off.

Unknown - why were you hanging out with Carter?

Me - does I matter?

Unknown - yes! You and my brother hanging out is bad, he is bad for you!

Me - not like I'm any better for him

Unknown - what's that supposed to mean?

Me- I not good for anyone either! But if I want to hang with Carter then you are not stopping me.

Unknown - hang with me instead, I will show you what it's like to be with a nice guy.

Me - who said I like nice guys?

Unknown - so you like bad guys?

Me - I never said that

Unknown - why do you have to be so damn confusing, I just want to help you!

Me - I don't want your fucking help, so if you wanna hang let's hang, but I will not be a little project for you to fix

Unknown - fine

Me - fine

Unknown - cya around

Without realizing it I scream into a pillow. Why does this have to happen to me?! Suddenly my life gets interrupted because I have two guys who are obsessed with me! Ugh why can't I just disappear?!

1:25pm - Friday - My room

I drift in and out consciousness I slowly open my eyes, I check the time. I out to go out and do something. I throw on my vans and, comb my hair. I send a text to my mom.

Me - going out for a bit, don't know when I'll be back <3

I grab some money out my my bag and head downstairs, I grab the keys to my Jeep and I head out the door. I walk to my car and slide in. I start the engine and I head down town.

As I drive through the run down down I slowly stop in from of a bar. I park the car and get out. As I enter the bar, the smell of booze fills my senses. I'm used to it by now. I enjoy the smell quite a bit.

"Yo, there's my girl!" A man yells as I enter, immediately I know it's Ray the bartender.

"Hey Ray, can you get me a shot of tequila?" He nods, I give him some money while he pours my shot. I take the shot in one go, he then hands me a beer to go with.

"Thanks Ray, you are the best!" I say as I stand raising my beer high in the air.

"Let's get this party started! Whoo!" I yell and I get noisy yells and grunts in return as I hear the music get louder.
