Y/N's body rocked back and forth as the taxi sped through the open roads. It was already past noon but the roads were clear. The driver was a middle aged man, around his mid thirties. He gave Y/N a quick glance through the rear view mirror.

Namjoon's head lay on his lap, bobbing along to the rhythm of the car. Y/N presumed he caught the flu, which was strange.

An adult man wouldn't pass out from a common cold, so what was it?

He gently pressed his hand under his own bangs, then under Namjoon's. He was boiling.

Y/N licked his lips and shifted in his seat, causing the driver to inspect him again.

His hands were getting sweaty and his chest felt heavy. He didn't understand why, he was in many similar situations without feeling anything.

The journey to the hospital was somewhat longer than usual. Y/N diverted his attention from Namjoon to the window.

The sun had began to set. The orange and yellow rays mixed with the blue sky, while some pink hovered just above the horizon.

'Must be some type of weird equinox.' he thought.

Y/N's eyes trailed down the window itself, studying the small water droplets it carried. He followed each one that would roll down quickly, only for it to stop and get blown away by the wind.

He tried busying himself through some search and reconnaissance. He cautiously shifted Namjoon so he would lean on his shoulder.

He paused to hear his breathing.

Steady.

Y/N adjusted the seatbelt and sat back in his seat. The driver eyeing him once again.

They were about two minutes from the hospital. He leaned down to look for his bag. He was so disorientated. He frantically searched below him in the dark.

His eyes scanned the back seat and he sighed in relief as he saw it next to the unconscious male.

As he reached over, a silver object came into view. The passing orange streetlights gave quick flashes of it.

Y/N froze.

It was an emblem.

Right in the middle of the car floor.

And he knew that symbol anywhere.

He opened his mouth, but no words came out. Y/N felt his heart beat quicker than before. He placed his hand on his chest in attempt to ease the rapid beating.

It wasn't him.

He swiftly turned to Namjoon, who's lips were slightly parted; breathing heavily.

He then placed a palm on Namjoon's chest.

Fast. Slow. Then fast again.

Arrhythmia.

🎄

hey guys i'm not dead. i have just been busy with school plus I had no Internet.
I see a lot of of people are taking an interest in this book and I am very glad!

the book might seem a little slow paced, i want it to seem as realistic as possible so the relationship will develop slowly.
that means no surprises or events that wouldn't necessarily happen in real life.

i will eventually make similar books for the other members in due time.

i have also noticed my followers are now 501! i am very grateful!

thank you!
