After ten years, the colonists of Terran had created quite the twin of Earth. They managed to form an economy, a Capital, a government, and a secure connection to Mother Earth. Everything was going, strangely, well.

At the Capital City of Earth, which ended up being previously known London, (One Direction, there, I mentioned it Tori) a highly secret meeting took place among the nations of the GOR.

"Terran is running sucsessfully, I see no reason not to send our troops there to-"

"To what, make other planets believe that we are invading?"

"He never said that! Besides, who here ACTUALLY thinks that there's other intellegent life there?"

The diplomats of each nation argued. It would be impossible for every nation to agree to sending troops. The President of the Republic, John Ghlock,  finally voiced his concern to the chattering bundle of modern politics.

'Everyone, shut up! You all act like children! Now, look at both sides here people. We need to secure the defense of our colony so that we can establish another Earth. Without another Earth, the human race will be destroyed. However, if there is another race out there, we will just have to fight them.'

'I don't agree with fighting them, we can't afford another war!'

The debates continued for days until the President finally ordered the deployment of 5000 military personell. The troops formed a military outpost which was soon to be called 'Fort Zall'. Fort Zall enclosed the weapons and men needed to maintain order on Terran. Some colonists feared that they would be attacked by another race due to the mobilization of a well-armed military force. These colonists proved to be correct.

'The Red Planet that overlooks Terran was not just an inhabitable fireball. It is a planet filled with intellegent life. Of these lifeforms were those who had conqoured the galaxy that Terran was situated in and had formed the Government and laws. Most of the planets fell in line as soon as their Empire had risen, but we had no idea about these laws. We're only just now figuring them out.' said General Howser.

'Sir, what laws did we break?' asked a Corporal in the crowd that General Howser was adressing.

'We currently are unsure. However, we do know it was a pretty big one as there are several warships approaching from the Red Planet. We have no idea if they're hostile or friendly,' replied the General 'however we need to prepare ourselves for whatever they may be.'

A crisp, peaceful night surrounded the Capital. All seemed very well, despite the potential threat. The thick white snow covered the ground but seemed, finally, to obey the humans and not cause trouble. "I'd much rather be at home." said almost every trooper who was deployed at the Capital's defensive trench.

'Station Six, you see anything?' asked a Captain to the left.

'Negative.' said Station Six's commander.

Several more hours approached. The anti-ship gunner fell asleep, as were many other turret gunners. One of the few wake gunners was Sergeant Becket, who was barely keeping his eyelids open. "I can't keep this up much longer" he thought to himself.

Another hour passed. 1:50 AM. Station Six's rotation with Station Twelve was almost over.

But it would never be over. Almost as fast as a bolt of lightning, three bright green lights shot from the sky. Out of these green lights emerged 3 Warships. Most people were still asleep, until the Warships hovered over the Capital and fired green lasers that set fire and exploded anything it came in contact with. The Capital was under seige.

The gunners woke up to the screams of their fellow soldiers, the citizens they swore to protect, and the families they would never see again. They opened fire upon the warships, but it was much too late to help anything. The Capitals defenses seemed almost useless against the sheer power of these Warships. The Warships aimed their lasers at the Capital's Defenses, and fired. Almost instantly, several anti-ship gunners were dead.

Sergeant Becket jumped off his turret just before a green laser destroyed it. He heard a loud scream and peered up. The captain had been burned by the exploding turret. Sergeant Becket ran over to the captain. The right side of his face was burned off. He picked up the captains radio and screamed into the microphone 'WE ARE UNDER SEIGE! CALL A GENERAL RETREAT!' The General Retreat was called, but by the time the forces of the GORA had heard about it, there was almost no one to pull out.

"The Capital City fell last night to an attack by a foreign hostile race. We know they came from the Red Planet that appears over Terran every winter. Thousands of people lost their lives in this disaster. But know this, citizens. Those responsible for killing your friends, families, and soldiers will pay the full price of justice." The opening sentence to the speech was clear. They were going to war with those who had attacked the Capital. But who actually did attack the Capital?
