Billy laid with his head on my lap as Steve flicked through channels. I played with Billy's hair and he slowly fell asleep. It has been 2 days since he showed up bloody and beaten and he hadn't been home. My heart aches for him, now that Steve knew he felt vulnerable. We had all been up all night and had to get ready for school. We didn't go yesterday because Billy slept the whole day, I didn't want to leave him and neither did Steve.

"Hey Billy." I whispered and he opened his eyes moving so he could look at me.

"We've gotta get ready for school." I said and he sighed and sat up. Billy brought a bag the night he came to our house, he dint want to go home. After we all got dressed, Steve drove to school in his car and Billy and I drove in his car. While we drove I realised he started to get his asshole face look back and I didn't know wether to be happy or sad. I decided on happy as we pulled into the school. Once we were our of the car I started walking in. I would walk in first and then Billy would walk in after me. But this time Billy had other plans. He took my hand and we walked in together. Everyone looked, everyone. Even teachers in the halls looked. Billy didn't say anything until we got into physics.

I sat next to Billy as he told Jessica, Tina,Julia and Tim about how he got his bruises.

"He tried to feel Lilly up, so I grabbed his arm and started beating his head in. But he got the best of me when I tried to get up. He pulled me down and started paying back what I gave him. Then the police broke it up." Billy said and I mentally rolled my eyes.

"Wow." They all said and I smiled. The bell rang and I happily jumped up and walked towards the gym, taking my seat in the bleachers as the boys got ready. Billy and Steve were the first ones to come out, Billy had no t shirt on and I looked over his toned body. I wanted Billy, bad. But right now was not the time. I watched as they played basketball but sometimes I'd get a bit distracted by Billy. He seemed to be a bit angry . Somethings was really bothering him. Once practice was over I waited for Billy to come out. But before he did Steve came out.

"Hey Billy said he'll be around later. He's gotta do something first." He said and I looked at him weird but nodded. We made our way home after that. Thoughts spiralling in my head. Once we got home Steve and I made some food and then sat on the sofa. But then my thoughts became to much and I started to worry about Billy. I jumped up and grabbed my jacket. I sprinted to the quarry and happily sighed as I seen his car. I climbed into the passengers seat, he had his head rested against the window.

"Remember the first day you were here?" I asked and he turned his head. Knowing he was listening I carried on. "You made a beet with Justin that you'd hook up with me in the first week." I said and he turned to me.

"Lilly I" He went to say but I placed my hand on his.

"Let's go to my place." I said and he nodded. Once we pulled into the drive I realised Steve wasn't here and let out a smile. I led Billy upstairs, his eyes widened as I pushed his down onto the bed, climbing on top of him.

"I wanted you." He said and I smirked and he pulled his t shirt off, me falling soon after.

"I want you Billy." I said and then all clothes was thrown to the side.

I sighed as I laid on Billy's chest, my heart beat just calming down. Billy smoked a cigarette and I took a drag.

"Why were you at the quarry?" I asked passing him back the cigarette.

"I was thinking." He said and I nodded not pressing any further. We lay for a while longer till I started to get hungry, I jumped up and pulled on Billy's shirt which meant down to my knees. I buttoned it up just enough so you could see my cleavage. I ran down stairs and started to make pancakes, while I was making them I felt Billy come up from behind me and slip his arms around my waist. He made small kisses all over my neck. But it was all over when Steve burst through the door. The smile on his face was quickly replaced by an un-readable look. Billy moved away from me and smiled at Steve nervously.

"Hey. I'm making pancakes, you want some?" I asked and Steve just nodded slowly. I made enough pancakes for us all and then Nilly and I quickly changed. Once we all sat in the sitting room Steve looked at us.

"So what exactly are you?" He asked between me and Billy and I was about to answer with a 'just friends' but Billy spoke our before I could.

"We're a couple." Billy said, a hint of something in his voice but I could quite put my finger on it. Steve nodded and I smiled, then Steve was laughing.

"What's so funny Harrington?" Billy asked defensively.

"A lot has changed from when you came here Hargrove." Steve said and Billy actually smiled. He looked at me and I grinned.

"Yeah it has." I said and let our a breathe. Billy Hargrove was a broken soul. I wasn't going to fix him. He didn't need to be fixed. He just needed to be loved.
