she slugged her shoulders and closed her eyes. she kept thinking about what her best friend had said until there was a knock on the door that snapped her out of her thoughts.
"who is it?" she yelled from the couch, "it's joey." they answered.
kimberly's eyes widen at the name. she had completely forgotten about her boyfriend.
as she walked to open the door, she thought: why am i worried about luke when i have a boyfriend?
she was done with luke's mixed feelings. she has a boyfriend in the first place, so why the need to worry about someone when it's not your place.
"i will no longer worry about luke... unless he really needs me." she whispered to herself but soon snapped back into reality again.
kimberly shook off the thought when she opened the door.
she smiled, "hi baby."
the boy pushed his way inside before answering, "hey."
