Chapter 17

Colby Pov

 Brennen came out of the room and Author and I was watching T.V. I really wasn't paying attention to the movie, I guess I was showing my angry face cause Brennen came over and sit on the couch and I look away from him. "Colby baby what's wrong" I don't answer. Brennen pulls my face trying me to look at him he kisses my neck. "Is my baby mad at me?" Brennnen asks. I roll my eyes and get up. I didn't care right now I was just super mad at everything I just need take my anger out on something I want to fight. I go outside and grab my keys, and go to my car. "Colby where you going" Brennen follows me and I don't answer. "Colby" he grabs my hand "Let go Brennen" I say anger, he lets go I get in the my car "what's wrong" he ask "I don't know! I just need to be alone I'll be back" I pull out fast and drive off. I feel tears go down my face.

I stop at a store and get some cigarettes, and message Brennnen saying that I'll be home in a few hours I drive off in the middle of no where and pull out my box of cigarettes and light one and feeling all my stress lift off my shoulders I close my eyes.  My phone goes off and it's Brennen I turn off my phone and throw it on the floor of my car and take another drag. I just need peace right now, well music will help to a bit. 

"turn back...turn back from this cave" 

I run a hand through my hair 

"you said, let me prove that i'm brave let me keep going"

"but the care goes through miles, and miles, and miles"

I wipe my tears away 

"and your so tired, but i know that your strong"

...

"so turn back"

what is wrong with me? why do I feel all mad/sad? I don't know I finish the cigarettes. I sigh feeling a bit better I just lay my seat back and lay down and stare at the ceiling of my car and close my eyes and fall asleep.

Skip

"don't take him" I say see that Brennen has Author in his arms

"Colby you need help" 

I shake my head "I don't need anything I'm fine" 

Brennen starts leaving 

"That's my baby!" I run after Brennen and stop him and Author has tears going down his face 

"Colby stop!" he tells me he puts Author down

"What makes you think you can take my child!" I say I reach for Author Brennen pushes me away "Mommy" Author I crys and I get up and push Brennen he gets mad and pins me down and Author screams I scream. Brennen screams at me "Author go back inside and lock the door" I scream. Author runs inside. 

Brennen looks at me and throws a punch and everything goes black

*gasps* I sit up and looks around me and see that I'm still in my car "Author" I start the car and pull out fast and drive back home. (skip) I pull in and rush up the stairs and rush in and run and stop and see Brennen and Author sitting in the kitchen Brennen was making dinner 

"Mommy you okay your crying?" Author looks at me 

"Yeah Colby you okay?" Brennen frowns and help Author off the counter. Author walks over to me and holds my hand I kneel down and his wipes my tears. I pull him in a hug. "I love you" I say his little arms wrap around my neck "Love you to mommy" he says. I chuckle "sorry mommy had a bad dream" I say Author nods. "I need to go to the bathroom mom" he says. I laugh "okay go ahead me and dad will be in here" I smile and kiss his forehead. Author rushes to the bathroom. 

I stand up and I walk to Brennen I don't know what to do. "What happen Colby?" I inhale "I had a dream that I came back and you was leaving me and taking Author and you said I was crazy" I say moving my hair back. "Colby you know I would never do that" Brennen says pulls me into a hug I shiver I know he wouldn't. "I know" I say I look at Brennen we stare at each other "can I a kiss" I say and smile Brennen laughs "Yes" I tip toe and give a quick kiss to mess with him. "what really?" Brennen lifts a brow I laugh "no" I do a real kiss this time. "ew mom and dad" I smile and break the kiss and we both look at Author. 

I smell something "Brennen I think the food kind of burnt "Oh snap" Brennen moves the pan and it got burnt Author laughs "dad burnt the food" "how about we just order pizza?" Brennen says smiling "Yeah" Author cheers up throwing his hands in the air. "Yeah" I smile and Author runs to his room to play a few of his games he got for his birthday.
