My Fatima,
I'm sorry for that, I wrote the letter in a hurry as I would have missed the opportunity to send it to you. We only get to send letters once in a week but we receive them twice. Crazy right?
Wait... You are taking cooking lessons? I have no doubt that you'll be the greatest cook Kaduna will see. I hope your delicacies look like your face and taste like your lips. The epitome of heaven on earth. Yesss you will be a graduate I also can't wait. I just hope I would be able to make it to your graduation.
I like these part of Borno, it is a beautiful place to be minus the insurgency, a place I'd love to have brought you if it was safe. The locals are nice, they smile and wave every time they see us in uniform. They offer us food three times a day, it's probably a bribe but it's better than eating Sambo's cooking. DONT TELL HIM I SAID THAT.
He cooks Jollof rice with no oil and the color is surprisingly pink. You have to add groundnut oil to lubricate the rice before you eat, can you imagine that?  Also as you can imagine I can't wait to try your 'redefined meal'
Love
Umar

P.S. Tomorrow's Valentine's Day I wish I was with you right now
