After a chaotic ten minutes of planning, Scott and Annie left to talk to Derek, Stiles and Katarina left for Lydia, and Allison went to Ms. Morrel to ask her to translate the Argent bestiary.  The pair had retrieved Lydia and got her to the library to meet up with the rest of their study group and soon enough Jackson (who took a lot of convincing) and Allison had joined them.  As they shuffled out of the library in rushed paces, Kat knew the rest of the night wouldn't be slowing down anytime soon.

"If we're doing a study group, why didn't we just stay in the library?" Lydia questioned as Stiles ushered her through the school, Kat, Allison, and Jackson in tow.

"Because we're meeting up with somebody else," Stiles tried to explain away.

Lydia's response was just as sarcastic as Stiles's, "Hmm, well, why don't they just meet us in the library?"

"Oh, that would have been a great idea.  Too late," Kat quickly said.

Jackson shoved forward and roughly grabbed Lydia's arm, "Lydia, just shut up and walk."

The group shuffled out of the school and to Stiles's Jeep.  Roscoe's tires squealed as Stiles sped out of the parking lot.  The ride to the McCall house was quick, silent, and tense.  However, when they arrived at the house, Lydia still had questions.

"If we're studying with Scott and Annie, why aren't they here?  I thought you said they'd meet us here." Lydia quipped as they all filed out of the Jeep.  Her eyes found Kat's as she asked the questions, a brow raised questioningly.

Kat patted Stiles on the shoulder as she moved past him, silently telling him to answer as she jogged up the stairs to the front door.  She heard Stiles mumble excuses to Lydia as she unlocked the door.  She opened it and was quickly followed inside by the group.  As soon as the door was shut, Stiles turned and locked the many individual locks on the door.  Kat hadn't even noticed there were that many.

Stiles looked through the window beside the door before looking back at the group, taking in the almost sarcastically questioning stares from both Lydia and Jackson.  His eyes moved to Kat's, silently asking her to help him out.

"Uh," Kat quickly began, clearing her throat, "There's been a few break-ins around the neighborhood."

Lydia didn't believe her but chose not to question it.  But when Stiles shuffled across the foyer to grab a chair before setting it under the doorknob, her brows shot up in question.  This time Kat joined in on the questioning looks, her lips pursing as she tried to stop from laughing at him.

"And a murder," Stiles said, referring to Kat's first excuse for the myriad of locks on the door.  Kat let out a small snort when Jackson huffed out a sigh. "Yeah, it was bad."

To stop the quiet from getting any more awkward, Allison nodded upstairs at Jackson, indicating that they needed to go talk.

Jackson rolled his eyes and took a sharp breath, "Lydia, follow me.  I need to talk to you for a minute."

Lydia exasperatedly sighed, following Jackson down the hall to the stairs, "Seriously?  What is going on with everyone?"

After the pair was out of hearing range, Kat turned to Stiles and Allison expectantly.  She opened her mouth to ask what the rest of the plan was since they hadn't gotten that far at school, but she heard something strange outside.  Her brows furrowed as she slowly moved to the living room, her steps cautious and light.
