Hi everyone! So, this story is a whimsical corpse of mine...and for those who don't know random pointless trivia, that means that that I'm not the only one writing it :) The two characters, Neils and Lenore, are being written by two different people. I, the lovely fyrestar10, am writing as Lenore, and my friend, NewPseudonym-who is not on wattpad, but IS on deviantArt-will be writing as Neils. This story will be updated biweekly, but for any of you impatient people who can't wait that long, the first 17 chapters are on deviantArt (See external link for the page). This story is ours and only ours, but if any of you lovelies that are reading this would like to draw any pictures, write fan ficts, or whatever it is, I would love you trememendously for it! ;) But anyways, like I said, this will be updated every 2 weeks, but be warned, both of us are still in school and are busy people, so there may be some inconsistancies. Thanks for bearing with us! :D Now....enjoy the show! (...or story...you get the idea)

"Get out!"

The young boy was practically launched out of the front door. He couldn't have been older than five. He started walking down the street, but nobody could see him crying, because his hair, long, and so blond it was practically silver, was hanging in his face. But he brushed it back as some of the neighbors ran out to ask him what was wrong.

.........................

I jolted straight up in bed. Even eleven years later, I still have the same dreams. Watching myself, trying to find my own food, curling up on the few occasions my parents decided to notice me, getting kicked out of the house, even watching from down the street as the house rapidly caught fire. Now, to get things straight, I had no part in starting the fire. It was just strange how the fire was started by silverware in the microwave oven.

The neighbors who took me in had a two bedroom house, so I've shared a room with their daughter, Lenore, since that night. They figured it wouldn't be too awkward, since we've been like siblings since before my parents kicked me out. Looking in the mirror - something I don't do too often - I paid particular attention to my hair: a couple inches of black, a couple inches of my natural color, then red, then purple, then my natural color again, then blue, black, and a few more inches of my natural color.

Thinking about what color to dye the next strip of hair, I saw Lenore's bed was empty, and hastily made (she sure had enough time to make it properly in the morning, she was just lazy when it came to making her bed) and she yelled, "Neils! Hurry up, or you'll miss the bus!"

"You could have woken me up!" I shouted, hurrying to get dressed. She's really irritating sometimes.

Looking at my new tattoo in the mirror (I had to brush my hair out of the way, because it covered most of the tattoo), I brought my hand to my face on the wolf paw-print. A wolf, chasing prey. A smile touched my lips as I ran downstairs to catch the bus.

"Pleasant dreams?" she asked teasingly.

"Oh, shut up," was all I said as I rushed out the door before her.
