----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------Ugh. I hate it whenever Neils thinks he can act all macho and try to defend me. I could've so taken them on! And it wouldn't have been my fault either, because they would've been the ones to hit first, and it would've been self defense. (So what if I had taunted them a little? No one would find out…right?)

"Uh...so what're your names?" The girl asked as she bit into her sandwich, interrupting my mental grumbling.

"Huh? Oh, yeah. I'm Lenore." I reached over and outstretched my gloved hand. The girl stared at the many rings and bracelets chiming ostentatiously. "You're supposed to shake it." I clarified.

"Oh, right." The girl shook my hand, cautiously avoiding the particularly pointed ring on my thumb.

"This here is my friend, Neils." I motioned to Neils, who was again trying to creep her out. (Successfully) "Neils, play nice," I teased. "Don't scare her!"

"Speaking of her," Neils said, pulling out his lunch bag. "What's your name anyway?"

"Me?" The freshman's eyes grew wide, shocked to hear that he didn't talk like the creep he pretended to be.

"Who else?" Neils and I replied in synch.

"Well, my name's Addison." The girl blushed behind her glasses.

"Addison." I repeated. "That's a pretty name. Glad to meet you!" I grinned. Again, Addison seemed too shocked to respond.

I sighed and Neils and I looked at each other. "Alright, a few things you'll need to know off the bat."

"One." Neils said

"We're not as dangerous as we seem." I said. "Well, unless you get us really mad."

"Then you're dead." Neils added. "Two."

"Don't go gossiping about us to your freshmen friends."

"That's just not cool. Three."

"If you don't annoy us, we'll get along perfectly fine."

Addison sat there, mouth hanging open.
