On a Greyhound to Boston
"Henry remind me again how you convinced me to come with you on this foolish little quest of yours?" I said.
"I think it might have had something to do with the million pleases I said. And also the fact that I was going to do this whether you came with me or not." Henry snarkily said.
"Yeah and knowing you Henry, you would have gotten yourself hurt if I hadn't come. How would you survive without me?" I said with a sigh.
"Aw come one you know you enjoy spending time with me Alex. Plus I would've gone whether you had come or not." Henry said.
"That's true and if I hadn't come you would have found a way to get yourself hurt. Then your mother, Regina, would have had my head for not being there to protect you." I joked. "Now go ahead and read your book we have a long ride to Boston ahead of us." I said.
Henry opened his book and began reading the chapter about Snow White and Prince Charming. Henry believed that everybody in our town, Storybooke, was a fairy tale character who couldn't remember being a fairy tale character. Well everybody except for me that is, for some reason he hadn't found me in his book yet. And for some strange reason I believed him.
"Hey Alex look! I found you in the book." Henry said snapping me out of my daydream.
"Ok then who am I?" I asked.
"I don't know Alex. They don't mention your name. All they mention is that you saved Snow White from the Evil Queen at her wedding." Henry said.
"Now arriving in Boston." the bus driver announced over the speakers.
With that announcement me and Henry got of the greyhound and headed towards the address Henry claimed his mother lived at. I had no idea how he had gotten the address. Henry and I hailed a taxi.
"Where are you two going?" the taxi driver asked. Henry gave him a piece of paper with the address on it and a credit card. The taxi driver then drove us to the address on the paper. The taxi driver pulled up to an apartment building and let us out.
"Alright Henry before we do this at least tell me her name." I said.
"My birth mother's name is Emma Swan." Henry replied.
Then we walked into the apartment building and headed up to Emma's apartment. Henry knocked on the door and we waited for Emma to answer.
Emma opened the door and said "Uh can I help you two?"
"Are you Emma Swan?" Henry asked.
"Yeah. Who are you two?" Emma replied.
"My name is Henry. I am your son. This is Alex Blake my bestfriend." Henry said.
Then Henry pushed past Emma into the apartment. I gave Emma an apologetic look before following Henry.
"Whoa! Hey kid. I don't have a son. Where are your parents?" Emma said.
"I brought Alex with me she is 16 so I am fine. Anyways ten years ago did you give a baby up for adoption? That was me." Henry explained.
"Give me a minute." Emma said stunned. She then went to the bathroom to compose herself.
"Henry I think you freaked her out." I said.
"I didn't mean to. I just want her to come back with us to Storybrooke." Henry said.
"Fine, but it's up to you to convince her to come back with us. I am not going to help. This was your idea and you need to see it through." I said.
Just then Emma came out of the bathroom looking more relaxed and composed. After a couple minutes of arguing Henry convinced Emma to take us back to Storybrooke. I have to admit Henry can be very persuasive when he wants to be.
