At the Royal Castle

I awoke in a comfortable bed underneath a comforter. The first thing I noticed when I opened my eyes was the ornate bed I was laying in. Seriously the bed was fit for royalty. Then I remembered what had happened. I had come to the Enchanted Forest and gone to Snow and Charming's wedding. I had been hit by a fireball while protecting Snow from the Evil Queen. That would certainly explain why my back felt like it had been hit by a sledgehammer. Slowly unfurling my wings I noticed that there was no trace of a burn on my wings. I guess someone had healed my wings while I was unconscious. I took of the covers to notice that I was still in the same clothes I had been in at the wedding. After I got out off the bed I put my boots on. Then a servant walked in the door.

"I shall go get Snow White and Prince Charming. They will want to know that you are awake." the servant said before bowing and exiting the room.

A few minutes later Prince Charming and Snow White entered the room and took a seat on two chairs by my bed.

"I am glad to see that you are feeling better. I have been waiting to thank you for saving my wife's life." Prince Charming said.

"It was nothing. I just did the right thing, there is no need to thank me for that. I came to this realm for peace not to see someone die." I said.

"Well thank you for saving me. My name is Snow White, but you can call me Snow. My husband's name is Prince Charming, and you can call him Charming for short. What is your name? And what do you mean you came to this realm for peace?" Snow White said.

I paused for a moment wondering why they didn't remember me. Then I remembered why. I had erased the land's memories of me after I had visited the last time, because I had not anticipated coming back. For now I would have to play along like I hadn't met them before until I deemed it safe to return everybody's memories.

"My name is Alex short for Alexandra, and I am not from this realm. I came to this realm to try to escape." I said.

"What are you running from Alex?" Charming asked as Snow put her hand on my hand trying to comfort me.

"We won't let anything harm you." Snow said reassuringly.

I removed my hand from Snow's and got up and retreated to a nearby window. I gazed out the window and said, " You don't need to protect me. You need to protect everyone else from me. Where I come from I am destined to do horrible things. I was born for the sole purpose of destruction and chaos. I thought that if I came to a different realm my destiny wouldn't be able to find me here. I thought maybe just maybe I could escape my destiny. I don't even know why I am telling you this. I guess something about you two makes me think I can trust you."

A concerned look came over both Charming and Snow's face at my words. They both looked lost in thought for a moment. I had given them a lot to think about.

"I believe that your destiny is yours to control. Nobody can control your destiny but you. Whatever happened in your past is gone. While you are here we will do whatever we can to help you change your destiny. We won't pry about your destiny. Whenever you are ready you can tell us." Snow White said.

"Thank you for your kind words. Anyways who do I have to thank for healing my wings? And before you ask I was born with my wings. I have had them for as long as I can remember. I hope you don't think I am a freak now." I said as I extended my wings.

"The Blue Fairy healed your wings. We don't think you are a freak. Your wings just make you unique and beautiful. You are not the first person with animal features that we have met before. We have a friend named Red that I think you would like to meet. You and her share a lot in common." Snow White said.

"Well I will have to meet this Blue Fairy and give her my thanks. I look forward to meeting Red as well. Anyways I guess there is no point in hiding my wings anymore. Thank gosh for that too, because constantly having them hidden under my clothes has made my wings very sore." I said as I gently folded my wings against my back above my shirt so that they were still visible.

"Can you please show me to the closest balcony. I need to fly." I said.
