Tim

A severe and aggravating headache was the first thing to greet me when I regained consciousness. I sat up and rubbed my temples as I let out a loud groan. When I finally opened my eyes, my mouth dropped slightly as I slowly checked out my surroundings.

To put it simply, I had no idea where the hell I was. The last I remember, I was on school grounds, chatting it up with Dawn after our mini date. Next thing I knew, I was in immense pain and I had blacked out, and now, wherever I was, all I knew was that it wasn't school grounds.

I would even go as far as to say I wasn't even on Earth anymore.

The air was way too thick, and it was blazing hot. I was sweating a little, but as seconds passed, I could physically feel my body adjusting to the extreme temperatures. Feeling a bit brave, I got up from the bed that I was previously sitting on to explore some more.

The room I occupied was rather large, along with the bed. The walls were painted red, and the ground was pure stone. The overall atmosphere made me extremely anxious. Wherever I was, I knew I didn't belong, and I knew I had to get out.

"Oh, you're finally awake?" A familiar voice gently called out in curiosity.

My eyebrows furrowed together in confusion, but I turned and saw Dawn standing by my side, with a worried expression writing on her face.

"You were asleep for a good while, I was worried that you wouldn't wake up." Dawn flashed me a small smile in relief.

I would've returned the gesture if it wasn't for a slight change in her appearance. Not only was she sporting a pure set of fangs and creepy red eyes, but a pair of wings also extended from her back.

Looking at the girl alone triggered a new sense of fear to stir within me, and I slowly began to back away from Dawn as I felt some sort of a panic attack coming on. My memories were slowly coming back to me as well.

My supposed date with Dawn, us sitting by the bleachers, and how things suddenly took a turn for the worse. The image of her fangs kept running through my head, and I could almost feel the pain from when they pierced down on my skin. Too many questions were running through my head. It was almost all too much for me to mentally handle.

"Tim," Dawn grabbed my attention, "hey, I know this is a lot to process, but you have to calm down."

I just shook my head, and continued to back away, until my back pressed against a wall, blocking me from my path. I slid down and sat on the floor. Figuring that I really had no other choice, I tried taking in deep breaths to actually calm myself down, but it didn't seem like my lungs had any intentions on cooperating with my brain.

"Tim?" The girl called out once more in concern, and bent over to place a hand on my shoulder, which only made my situation worse.

"Give him some space, Dawn." Another female ordered as she entered the room. "He's going into a panic, and if he can't control himself soon, he might end up hurting you."

Dawn slightly jumped up at the commanding tone, but did as she was told, slowly backing away from me.

The other girl that spoke up came into view as she stepped forward to observe me. As this new figure gently grabbed a hold of my chin, forcing me to keep my head still as I looked straight at her, my eyes began to adjust, and I could see clearly again. My jaw dropped when I focused on another set of red eyes on a familiar face.

"You..." Was all I could mutter out.

"Yeah... Me." The girl smirked, showing off her fangs as well, but hers were definitely way more intimidating than Dawn's. "Hope you enjoyed your date. Dawn figured your last moments as a human should be filled with some kind of joy, instead of absolute terror, which was my original plan for you."
