Author's Note:
Once again, really sorry guys. This chapter's really short but I have planned the next few and will hopefully post them soon!
Chapter 11:
Lucy's POV:
I take in a deep breathe, close my eyes, and focus. I can sense the ground beneath me. I extend my focus in all directions. I sense; Justice still in her cave, the main island someway beneath us, and all the other floating islands surrounding us. Now I extend my focus once more, further, towards the stars... and I find them! The begin to pop into focus slowly, one by one. I'm not sure how far the Earth's immediate atmosphere is but Justice told me before to tell her how many I find when I do, so I'll just keep going. I didn't realize the space around the Earth was so vast, even just between here and the moon there are nearly 1.2 million.
I sense Justice rushing towards me and begin to lose my focus. I count the stars just past the moon, but only just. I hope it is far enough!
"How far?" Justice asks panting.
"Just past the moon." She starts grinning and I return it from ear to ear. "Around 1.587 million."
"Alright, that's way more than enough! Now we can move on to the real stuff!"
"Given that you are already a celestial spirit mage and have found so many stars, the rest of our training should be much smoother."
"Where do I start?" I am quite impatient. I have been meditating for three whole months to make it to this moment.
"We begin by drawing energy from the stars around us, much like the celestial spirits do except this energy is from the stars in our own universe. They hold infinite energy and power between them. Feel this energy. Consume it. And, when you feel ready, try to let this power out as a roar."
I can feel the presence of the stars surrounding us. I draw in a large breath. What looks like a stream of stardust begins to fill my lungs. "Roar of the Celestial Dragon!" I shout at the stop of my lungs and aim my roar towards some rocks that had been set up as targets.
I think I can do this.
