Forgive and Forget

Chapter One:

Lucy's POV:

As we rode home on the train from our most recent successful mission, I look down at Natsu, who had laid his head on my lap and was peacefully asleep. We've known each other for almost a year now. I met him when I had just turned seventeen in that fake Salamander incident, and my feelings towards him have only grown ever since. He is way more than a best friend to me; I love him. My hand stoked the hair on his head and he smiled in his sleep. Peaceful moments like this are what makes the world complete.

Natsu's POV:

We were riding home from another successful mission when I woke up and found myself lying on Lucy's lap. I decided to keep my eyes closed as she made me feel so calm inside. I hardly even felt sick just because I was with Lucy. I always got this warm feeling when she was around but I don't know what it is.

Timeskip - A few hours later

We were finally back at the guild so I went to get some food from Mira.

"Hey Mira, can I ask you something?" I asked Mira whilst she was making my meal.

"Of course Natsu," she answered. "What is it?"

"Well I kinda get these weird feelings around Lucy, I've been getting them for a while now."

"What type of feelings?"

"Well my heart starts to beat really fast when I am near her and I get this warm feeling in my chest."

"I knew this would happen" Mira said smiling. "You're in love with Lucy!"

"But...but what do you mean in love that can't be, she's my best friend"

"Well as far as I've seen she feels the same way towards you, you should make a move." She said smiling then she gave me my food.

I can't make a move. I don't know how and what about Lisanna. I know she is dead but I made a promise to her. My heart is hers and hers only. Luce and I can live on as just friends. I will just have to ignore my feelings. I'm sure Mira was just imagining things when she said Lucy likes me anyway. Yeah. Oh well.
