The boy started on the farm by the name Nicolas but a fire tore apart the land ending his home at only 4. Fending on the streets he survived on his own, alone in the inter world.
When the boy was 10 on a walk through town he stopped in his tracks at a man running into a horse stable. Nicolas stared in the distance at a demon attacking the human. Nico ran over to where the demon was. "Hey! Leave him alone!" he called out to it.
The human looked to Nicolas and stuttered. "Y-you see him t-to?"
The demon laughed. "Oh? Who are you? You don't belong here, this man and I have a deal. I helped him and in return I get his soul. Simple really." He stabbed into the human and tore out a gem then approached Nico. "You have such interesting eyes."
Nico backing away towards an alleyway. "You're a strange man."
"I'm no man, I'm a demon. You see me so you must be to, less you're the other then I'd have to kill you." His black wings spread out behind him.
"Who's he talking to?" muttered a couple passing by.
"Humans can only see me if I wish it to be seen. I do not but I can't help being seen from your eyes. Strange eyes, are you a Nephilim or Cambion?"
"No..." replied Nicolas.
"Well then we can't have a human running around as such." A chain blade appeared into his hand.
Nico stood his ground. When down came an angel with a sword in hand. "Well, well your back at it again."
"You have no place here, Gale!" argued the demon. "This is my area! Not my fault pitiful humans exist."
The Angel turned to Nicolas. "Go."
"Thank you, sir." Nico ran but returned out of curiosity. The demon and angel both stood talking to one another, no weapons drawn. Both looked to Nico. "He's back." Complained the demon. "What do you want?"
"What are you guys?" Questioned Nicolas.
"I'm the devious demon Devan." Bowed the demon. "Was that cool? I just came up with it."
"Its stupid." sighed the angel. "I am Gale, an angel who's assigned to this area."
"Who are you?" The demon asked the boy.
"I'm Nicolas." Replied the boy. "I see you both, why?"
"Are you a Nephilim or Cambion?" asked Gale, the angel.
"Neither? I'm confused."
"Of course. Basically its demons vs angels but we haven't had war for like 10 years."
"Yeah it's kinda weird how it just stopped out of nowhere." Commented the Demon.
"I heard it was after Infra lost her kid."
"She didn't lose it, she gave it away. He was a hybrid so she left him in Inter world."
"That's a bit cruel."
"Who's Infra?" Questioned Nicolas.
"Lord of the Under world. Very funny lady." Answered Devan.
"Not surprising." The Angel drew a blade of air. "Now Nephilim show us your power. I'm curious at what you draw."
"Draw?" Nicolas stood confused.
Devan pulled off Nicolas's hat. "He's got horns, Gale."
"Give me my hat!" Complained Nico.
"Nephilim or Cambion horns?" asked Gale.
"Neither..." replied Devan.
"You sure?"
"I think so..."
"Then what is he?"
Gale took a look. "Well he has strange horns. Like both demon and angel."
"Is that even...oh shit!"
"Language, Devan. Explain yourself."
"Well, have you heard of Asura?"
"Don't be ridiculous that can't be."
"I'm a demon, I know rumors and the one of Indra's kid was he was a hybrid of an angel."
"Don't be dull."
"I'm not, makes sense." Devan turned to Nico. "How old are you?"
"10..." replied Nicolas. "So I'm like you? Demon angel thingies."
"Yeah."
"That's crazy, you're crazy." Nico backed away from them. "Nice meeting you two." Turned tail and ran.
Down flew Devon into Nico. "Don't run, I'm curious."
"I don't have time for this." Complained Nico.
"You're a demon angel thingy. You could eat humans and it wouldn't be cannibalism."
"What the fuck?"
"There you go, cure you demon!"
Nico went to where all the hobos lived in their makeshift homes in an abandoned building. Sitting at a table there he thought about what he saw, when yellow eyes peeped from the front of Nico's spot. "Psst."
Nico ignored him.
"Meow." Purred a cat dancing around on the table. Its yellow eyes looked straight to Nico. "Meow, meow mother fucker. Look at me, I'm a pussy!" shook his tail into Nico's face.
Nico flipped over his table. "Is everything alright in there?" called out a man from the other room.
"Everything's fine." He grabbed Devan by the tail and threw him out just to have him fly back in as himself.
"That was still 1000% cruel." Barked Devan.
"You're bugging me!"
"You don't belong here, you belong to the Under world, the Over world."
"I don't care what you say, you're probably not real."
"Fine."
Chains came up out from the floors wrapping around Nico's legs, up around his arms and neck. "What are doing to me?"
Fire came up from the chains and dragged him under. Next moment he was in a in a dark land, a moon crimson in the sky, an obsidian path to a city with a castle at its center. City built in the caverns of a canyon with a river of lava flowing through.
"Where...What?" Nico stood in confusion.
"Welcome to Hell! Land of demons! Wielders of fire!" introduced Devan. "Isn't it great?"
"This is a dream right?"
"You wish, wanna meet the lord? She's great and chill with cambions."
"What's a cambion?"
"It's just what we call the half human demon things."
"Okay then."
Threw the castle gate to the throne room where in the darkness were red eyes sat on the throne.
Walking down it Nico was surprised how well he could see in this darkness, then the walls lit up to a voice. "What now, Devan?"
"Oh it's Indra." Devan smirked. "I brought a hybrid! He's pretty interesting looking. Make a good weapon."
Nico looked to the guy on the throne. Short black hair, red eyes and a goatee. "We have no use for a weapon or cambions." Gold chains came up from the ground and raveled around Devan.
"But he's not a cambion! He's an asura!"
Chain came towards Nico, when a golden sword appeared in his hand, not knowing how to react he cut away the chains. Up from the ground came a blade connected to a chain knocking the sword in Nico's hand out, shattering as it hit the ground.
"Nephilim?" questioned the man on the throne. "No he's got golden weapons."
Devan vanished over to the man, Indra, as Nico stood terrorized. "He's got royal weapons. Heehee."
"So you think he's Supro's kid?"
"No! Well he could be, I didn't think of that."
"Did Supro send him?"
"I actually found the kid."
"He looks terrified."
"Well you did attack him."
"True." He called out to the kid. "Who are you?"
"I'm Nicolas, I uh was kinda forced here and am confused..." replied Nico.
"And you're an Asura?"
"I'm not sure what that is but yes?"
"I see." Chains again came up from the floor onto Nico. "Then I must contain you, not sure the extent of something your caliber."
The chains turned black, burning half of Nico with it. Dragged down to a dungeon. Arms chained up and put in pitch darkness all but a candle in the distance. A day passed and Indra came to check up on Nico. "Still alive? Good, now Nicolas for you to be my weapon I need cooperation. Infra, my dearest sister needs something to push her to battle."
"Screw you." Coughed Nico. "I did nothing and chain me like I'm your pet!"
"Everything belongs to me in time including you. Now Nicolas we can help each other but you must accept your path to demon before I can let you leave."
"You can't do this!"
"I can, you're an Asura, a cross of demon and angel, an illegal hybrid, an abomination, and you'd be put down by the counsel in seconds if they knew of your existence but I'd like to help you. You'd have to hide that angel part of you for now but you have some royalty in you. The gold on your sword says so."
"Just let me go, I'm human..."
"And your world's mistake was hiding you from yourself. Now you're here, oblivious to what you are and how horrifying you really are." The blade chains released, dropping Nico.
Half of him regenerated back as he crawled to Indra's feet. "If I agree I'll leave?"
"Of course, after I show you what you are I hope it changes your mind on leaving."
Over came Devan helping up Nico. "Sorry, I thought Infra was here."
"She won't be for a while." Smirked Indra. "Now you may call me Mr. Gon. I'll train you, dress you, feed you, and speak for you as if you're my pet, understand?"
"Yes." Replied Nicolas.
"Good. Now Devan bring him to his chamber. He needs to be properly made. Oh and wash him first. he reeks of rat,"
Threw the castle they went passing the paintings of former lords of the land all similar in looks and age. Devan gave Nicolas a long bath then brought him to his new chamber. Nicolas stared into his refection as Indra searched threw a closet of clothing.
His eyes different from one another, one cat like as the other like a target. Hair half black and white, split down the middle. Looked at his arm that was burned to bone but somehow reformed.
"Your own face bothers you?" questioned Indra.
"No, just seeing it clean shows how much I look like a monster." Replied Nicolas.
"You could say that. Everyone looks at your kind that way so you may as well play the part."
"Is that what you do?"
"I'm of royal blood I have no choice but to play my part. My jobs to make you the same and if you're who I think you are then I welcome you here even if it's not what you wish. Like family does."
"Family..."
"Do you miss yours in Inter world?"
"I don't have one..."
"Oh... sorry I was informed differently but that was years ago." He picked out a black and blue pajamas. "Try this on."
"Fine." He put on the threads and felt strange to wear such rich clothing even if only pajamas, socks on his feet and a room all dream like. "Is this all for me?"
"Yes. As long as you cooperate. If not its back to your cell."
"Yes sir..." Nicolas looked at himself again.
"Don't look so down. Here I'll train you and maybe you'll find some purpose to your meaningless existence."
"So what now?"
"Get some rest. You'll need it."
"Yes sir." He curled up under the covers and slept wondering of tomorrow.
