Beep... Beep...

Kyle hadn't move from his spot. He stared blankly at the unconscious girl as she lay on the bed as peaceful as she could.

Seeing her look peaceful like that made his stomach twist painfully and he gripped his hands tighter.

Sweetie looked at him from her place at the door frame, her hair unkempt but her expression blank, Adrien was talking to Mrs. Terrance, Adrien's mother, as he explained the situation to her as much as he could when his mother was yapping at his ear. Sweetie only texted her parents saying she was going to save the world and they didn't mind at all.

"Okay, my mom gave me the okay signal. Thank god we have a vacation rest for about a week... Kyle, how ya holdin' up buddy?" Adrien asked gently.

Sweetie kept quiet, she didn't know what to say in sentimental situation at times so she relied on either Hearth or Adrien for help.

Kyle only shook his head "I can't explain... I can't..." He croaked out, his eyes had stopped from leaking tears and Adrien only seemed deep in thought as he pondered what move to play next.

"Would you like to stay in the night?" Sweetie piped out softly trying to help. It kind of worked out seeing as how Kyle slowly nodded.

Adrien looked at Sweetie in appreciation, the girl waved her hand dismissively "I'll call your parents and Sweetie here will tell the nurses, right Sweetie?" His voice became louder as he directed his attention to the grumpy girl.

"Yeah yeah, I'll tell Aunt Jellaika about her guest" She grumbled as she stalked out. Adrien looked at his phone and stared worriedly at the time. It was an amazement how Sweetie hadn't thrown a fit at the time seeing as how forceful Kyle woke her up.

Kyle didn't turn to look at Adrien "You guys can go home... I'll deal with this mess" Now the tone of his friend's voice caught his attention. Adrien was more worried about how soft Kyle's voice became.

Far different from his usual loud and boisterous voice had become. 'But' Adrien mused as he tidied his things 'It just shows how much he really cares about Fay to come here at 2 in the goddamned morning' Suddenly remembering the time he groaned in annoyance.

"You better make sure I get home safely Adrien" Kyle managed a weak laugh as he saw Sweetie waltz in with Dr. Jellaika on her trail.

Dr. Jellaika had short and neat brown locks, she had aged quite well, had no glasses and wore the doctor uniform. Though she did held an array of foam, pillows and a blanket. "Sweetie, dear, be a nice niece and help your auntie, will you?" Dr. Jellaika smoothly uttered as she flashed a smile at the grumpy girl.

Sweetie had instantly straightened up as she took the foam quickly, she then looked at Kyle expectantly.

Kyle flinched when he realized he had to tell where to lay down the foam, his body had begged him for rest but his mind had only replayed to the scene where Fay had said...

"Kyle, dear? You alright?" He flinched when Dr. Jellaika had placed a hand on his shoulder, anchoring him back to reality. Kyle only blinked away the weariness as Sweetie had placed the foam besides Fay's bed.

"I-I'm sorr—" Dr. Jellaika only shot him a look, "It's quite alright deary. Your loved one is on the verge of death and you have every right to space out... But just remember to sleep?" She asked and Kyle felt bad at himself for making the sweet lady worried for him.

Though, Sweetie on the background faked a gag at the gesture her aunt made and when Dr. Jellaika turned to look at her niece, she only made an act of looking busy arranging the pillows. Adrien had trouble holding his laughter at the sight of Sweetie nearly breaking in a sweat as Dr. Jellaika sent a quizzical stare at her.
