THORN P. O. V.

I felt odd, I don't really understand this feeling I'm somewhat happy and self conscious after that encounter with Ekang, guess that's her name. I can't really help it but smile, I wanted to look back at them but it might be rude if I do. I hope she just accepted my request to go ahead of me. I wanted to yell, to jump, to turn around but I just can't. And worst of all I can't handle this weird feeling.

"Your grinning." I heard and it dragged me into the reality, away from that gnawing feeling.

"What? I'm sorry," I said but not to any particular person.

"Hey, snap out of it," it was Ben looking way too curious "are you day dreaming?"

"No. I'm not, I just remember this embarrasing moment," I lied, I wasn't sure how to tell any one what I'm feeling right now. Because I guess it's embarrasing.

"Well great just stop grinning like that, you look crazy." Ben told me. I nodded.

"Anyways proper introduction should be great now. I'm Benedict Perez. But you can call me Ben." He introduced himself.

"I'm Mark Thornton Maguire. " I reached my hand in front of me. But the looked of Ben's face.amused me. I don't know if I should laugh or what because his gaping at me.

"Your a Maguire?!" He asked way too loud that the man in front of us sneak a peak at me.

"Yes I am why?" I asked him, curious.

"Do you want to go ahead of me?" He asked me. And now it's my turn to gape at him. I wasn't really expecting that coming from the man who stood just as long as me or maybe longer. I shook my head. And then he finally noticed my hand and shake it vigorously. When he let goes of mine hand the tip of his finger hit my chest and before I could react my ball point pen drops on the floor. I leaned down to picked it up but something hits my butt.

"Hey," I said a bit pisssed. And turned around to look at the culprit who touches my butt. But the looked on her face make me took two or three steps back. "I'm sorry."

"Bakit ba bigla kang tumutuwad dyan?" She yelled. But it's useless because I didn't understand it. I pointed the ball point pen in my left hand and apologized again.

"Tigil tigilan mo ako sa kakasorry dyan." She said with a hmmp. She's really pissed now, but I don't really understand what happened.

"Are you alright?" I asked her although I knew it might be useless. Her nose is smoking like she wanted to strangle me. I smiled at her. But get caught by the three girls that shrieking and pointing at me. They all wore a cheer leader's uniform kind of weird.

"Ang gwapo!" They shrieked like that I understand that. I thought bitterly. I look behind me to check if it was really me. And I'm right it was me because Ben is kind busy he is looking to the cute girl with a camera hanging on her neck, and his red in the face. The girl was looking at me, with disbelief. She's the friend of Ekang. And the other girl on blue floral dress was looking at Ben, without blinking.

"Hi!" The girls in uniform said at the same. Like they rehearsed every word they say.

"Hello," I waved at them. And they all shriek like crazy.

"Tumahimik kayo dyan," Ekang said madly at the three girls. And scurried up to the stairs and took left.

"Why do you do that for?" I asked her.

"Hoy akala mo ba ang gwapo mo, in your dreams ang pangit mo kaya." She said, I don't understand her but the look on the face of her photo journalist friend it's kind of unbelievable, whatever that is.

"What?" I asked her. But it was Ben who answered me and said "she said your Ugly."

Instincts made me do it. I lean way too close to her face that my nose almost touches her. She went red. And I asked her "Am I still ugly?"

"No," she said promptly. And I smiled the widest it might get. I didn't move even she'd already gave me an answer.

But then an anouncement rang through out the whole Maguire Smith University.

"Maguire, Mark Thornton. Please proceed to the office immediately." The woman voice on the speaker said and it repeated again. I'm way too startled to moved. How does my whole name got to the admission office?

I felt a tap on my shoulder and it pulled me to act. I stood straight, and asked Ben where's the office.

"Take left," both he and the photo journalist said at the same time. And Ben went redder that he might get.

"Thanks" I said to them. I turned around but look back again and apologized to Ekang for the final time and rushed upward.
