THORN P. O. V.

I knocked at the door three times before I open it. I greeted the lady that I guess must be the Student Assistant.

"Why did you call me?" I asked her. She smiled at me, and she bit her lips. Bad sign. So I repeated my question. "Er why do you call me?"

"It was I who asked to call you," I heard a very familiar voice behind me. When I turned around I saw the best uncle in the universe with his toothy grin. He winked at me, and I ran and give him a hug.

"Long time no see uncle Mark." I greeted him. "Hang on, please. I told you I don't want a special treatments I'm same as those students." I let go of him.

"Nah don't worry Thorn, it wasn't. It just your name slips to the line and there are some girls who wanted to see you." He explained. "And I know you don't want a commotion, right?" Then some scene on the line flashed to my mind.

"Yes," I told him and then my stomach gives a rumble. I really forgotten being hungry.

"My boy, your hungry." He noted. I nodded, a bit embarrassed.

"Come lets eat, it almost time for lunch." Uncle Mark said but I shook my head. I'm about to argue with him. But he interrupted me.

"No special treatment." He said the exact words on the edge of my lips. "Come on follow me." He said and I do as he said.

"Good morning, Maguirian." Uncle Mark greeted the student on the line. Maguirian? Seriously they call the students here after our name. I grinned. Then motion caught my eyes, there's this beautiful girl she's also wearing a cheer leader's uniform and she's literally waving at me. And I ignored her.

I wasn't committed yet, never had a girl friend. I've got crushes yet still being cautious to have a relationship, I believe that it's a thing that you  would rush, plan and make sure that your stable emotionally, mentally and yeah of course financially. So it means I'm another member of the No-Girlfriend-Since-Birth organization if there's any.

"I got an announcement to make," Uncle Mark continued, I saw Ekang, Ben, the blue floral dressed girl and the journalist sneak a peak in front of the line. My eyes locked with Ekang but I looked away. I just can't. Ben waved at me enthusiacically, I wanted to ignore him but I know it's wrong so I smiled and point at uncle Mark.

"All of you get a number to Miss. Hernandez, take a lunch and returned at one." Some student groaned, some said yes but all in all, all of them agreed.

"Thorn come on," he said again and I followed, then he walked towards the stairs where Ben and the others stood. When we reached them they all chorused "good noon" and we walked on, uncle Mark's ahead of me.

"Your silent," he noted. I didn't respond, this, me being transferred here was a bit... I don't know. Senseless.

But I never told it to Dad, I don't think I might even had a chance to do it.

I looked back and saw Ekang and the others were talking animatedly, but when we took left they disappeared, blocked by the white painted stone walls. Then I seddenly bump into uncle Mark, he stopped so suddenly that we almost tumble to the rest of the stairs. "What's the matter?" I asked him.

"What's the matter?" He asked back at me. His eyebrow were contorted into a single line. His assessing my mind, and yes the two us knew each other way too much, when Dad isn't acting a "Father" to me, uncle Mark does.

"I know you think it's senseless but one way or another you'll understand it somehow." He told me. But I didn't respond, I don't know how to either.
