Out of nowhere, Ella screamed. She started throwing things she can throw and I felt sorry for her. Guards are trying to calm her but she can't. When she finally stopped, I grab her and hugged her tight. She don't deserve to feel this. I felt guilty for what I did. She started crying on my chest.
"Hush down, Ella. It's okay." I said. She finally calmed down but she wasn't pulling away. I am a monster, I realize how fragile she was. I broke her. She's a princess, Princesses suppose to be happy. I hate myself. I saw Ella fall asleep in my arms.
"Michael, we will send you both away. You're the only person I can trust right now." Said Dad, making me nod. I placed Ella down in a bed. Dad rubbed his temples, looking very exhausted.
"We need to send Ella away for a day or two, we're just going to make sure the house is safe." He said, I nodded and he pats my back.
"Trust no one, Michael." He said. Lou went to us and nodded at Dad.
"The mini van is ready. I've already packed your bags." Said Lou, as she slid her hands into her pockets.
"Where are we going?" I asked, looking at them.
"Find some cheap motel. Lou already put some money on your bag. I trust you with her." Said Dad, he handed me the keys and she carried Ella to the van. She put Ella on the back seat and I slid to the driver's seat.
"Take care!" Said Dad, before shutting the door off.
I started the engine and started driving. To be honest, I am really guilty right now. I didn't know princesses lives can be tough. Maybe the fairytales are just big pile of shit, making children believe in such lies. After an hour, Ella finally woke up.
"Hey." She said, sounding exhausted
"Hi." I simply said and kept my eye on the road.
"Where are we?" She asked, as she rubbed her eyes and stretched.
"Almost out of the town." I said, taking a look at the back.
"Where are we going?" She asked, looking outside.
"Somewhere, I guess. Dad needs to secure the house." I said, making her pause for a minute.
"Thank you." She suddenly said.
"For what?" I asked. I felt my heartbeat went fast because of her words.
"For saving me. If you weren't there, I am probably dead by now." She let out a chuckle.
"It's an honor." I manage to say. I turned on the radio and a familiar tune went out.
"I love this song!" Said Ella.
"The 1975?" I smiled, she nodded.
"It's just you and I tonight, why don't you figure my heart out." She sang. She keeps humming the song until it ended. We are already out of the town and I saw this gas station. We stopped for refill when I saw this old man.
"Excuse me, sir" I said, making him turn to face me.
"Do you know any motel around here?" I asked, biting my lip.
"Yes, just a few kilometers." He said. He was creepy. Of course, I'm not going there. There might be a Texas massacre shit going on there. Ella and I left and skipped the first motel.
"Why did we pass the motel?" She asked.
"I don't trust it." I said, looking at her at the backseat. After few hours of driving, we saw another one. I parked and we both took our bags out and shut the van. We entered the lobby, It was nice and neat. There are also people. We went to the counter and there was a woman.
"Hello, Ma'am and Sir." She said with a warm smile.
"One room please." I said, she nodded before typing on her computer.
"How many nights?" She asked, looking at us.
"Just two." I said, she handed me the keys and I paid her.
"Name please?" She smiled.
"Uh, Michael Clifford." I simply said. She looked at us one last time and grinned.
"Well, enjoy your stay Mr and Mrs Clifford." The lady said, making me blush vigorously. Me and Ella thanked her and went to our room.
I unlocked the door and it was surprisingly nice. There was a small TV, a dresser, a queen sized bed and a bathroom. Ella closed the door and put her bag down and I did the same.
"I'm going to take a shower." She said, making me nod.
I flopped down the bed and fixed my messy hair. Ella. She's on my mind. I felt so horrible. How can I hurt her? After what happened to Ashley and I, I just wanted to hurt everyone. I'm really afraid to be so close to Ella because everyone near me gets hurt all the time.
I don't want to hurt her, but it just happens. How could Ashley do this to me? She broke me. She torn me into pieces, but I love her.
Ella finished and I took a shower also. After, Ella ordered Pizza.
"How did you learned how to order Pizza?" I asked, sitting down the sofa.
"Calum teached me." She smiled, looking proud at what she just did.
"Calum?" I asked, she nodded.
"After the party, we went home and ordered Pizza." She said. I sat down on the floor and Ella did the same.
"How are you?" Said Ella, taking a bite of her pizza.
"Fine." I simply said, rolling my eyes at her.
"Tell me about yourself, Clifford." She said as she took a bite from her pizza.
I guess this will be long night.
